In my '11 135i is a white Exide battery with the following number on the sticker on top:
BMW S: 61 21 7 604 815 This was the original battery in the car as I bought it new from the dealer. I found the Autozone Duralast battery that was recommended in this thread by a member of this forum: H8-AGM. Two questions about this battery: 1) The Duralast is no AH spec listed nor can I find one online.. My stock Exide battery is listed on top as 80AH 2) The Duralast is an AGM battery. Ive read in a few places that AGM batteries used by BMW are always Black and have an AGM in the part number, neither of which corresponds to my stock Exide battery. So, it would seem the Duralast wont work in my car without coding that goes beyond the basic registration. Is this correct? (incidentally, realoem returns nada when I enter in the part number on the bmw sticker on top of my Exide battery)

I know this is pretty late of a reply and you more then likely have figured out how to open your trunk by now, but I myself did the same thing lol. I had used jumper cables and hooked it up to my other car just to open the trunk.
