Are we going to have to go to a Cobb dealer to get updates and a custom tune when the pro software comes out? Please explain how this will work.

Professional tuning shops will be able to purchase AccessTUNER Pro software when it becomes available. We have many Pro Tuners in our network that will be using the BMW tuning software, and we hope several new shops will join us as well.

If you've got a favorite tuning shop you work with now and are interested in the AccessPORT and a custom tune, be sure to let them know. New tuners will come on board if the demand is there from their customers.

As far as updates, that can be done via your PC or Mac via the AccessPORT Manager software. When a new firmware release is announced, simply plug the AccessPORT to your computer, run the AccessPORT Manager, Update the firmware, and BAM! If there are map revisions, the new maps will be available for you to reflash your vehicle (using the "change map" option) and you will have a newer version flashed to your car.
You say retail locations will offer this, however what if there are no COBB retail locations nearby? Can I just tell you guys which mods I have if and whenever I get this and have you guys apply the custom map before it ships?

My tuner is a retailer and a frequent user of AccessTuner Pro for Subaru.... when will they be able to use said program for the BMW? If not, when will it be available to them?

First thing I noticed as well. The power curve looks excellent. I'm actually considering tuning an n54 again!

Here are some more Stage 1 results for you guys to drool on!

It makes 100-75ft-lbs across the board and 50WHP up to 5500rpm! Then notice at 6000 it makes 75WHP more at 6000 up to redline! Its nuts!

All i can say is traction is problem even rolling on in 3rd! The car pulls very hard all the way to 7000 RPM and i have even had the tires chirp going into 4th!

100ft-lbs more is freaking crazy, and i still get 28MPG on the freeway!

We hope to have ProTuner in the hands of tuners in the near future. However, we don't have an ETA on this yet. Stay tuned as we will make a formal announcement when it is available!

The default date/time stamp in DDBO is of when the run was uploaded to DDBO. The date and time of the actual run can be manually entered, but many times the operator just leaves it at default.

HondaGoneRogue,

We understand the excitement and sense of urgency regarding our pro tuning software. We feel that AccessTUNER Pro is a critical component in our full-tuning-solution product offering and something we will be working very hard to get into the hands of professional tuning shops as soon as possible.

It's always difficult to predict when a product is going to be available when reverse engineering is involved as time line altering issues can come up unexpectedly. On the other hand, we know that without any information, the community doesn't know if it's going to be months or years.

If development continues to progress smoothly, we anticipate having AccessTUNER Pro for BMW available within the first quarter of 2011.

Thanks,

Gary
