Looks awesome! Although it does look like a tight squeeze around the exhaust tips.

Personally I really like the side fins, it's what I hated about the performance style diffuser as I feel it tucks in too much. This diffuser reminds me of the Hartge style except for those of use who don't want quads.
The exhaust tip fit is fine, no rub or clearance issues; this is with my enlarged PE tips. As the diffuser protrudes the bumper a little too it hides the longer tips of the PE better than the OE diffuser can. There's one thing I'll say about the styling of this. I feel as it is super aggressive compared to OE I feel that a performance style spoiler would really compliment it. More pics this weekend . |

Definitely agree with it being aggressive, not sure that's the route I want to go after seeing more shots of it. I might just do the OE mod a few people have done which is painting it gloss black (for non black car) and adding mesh in the recess.

It's not for everyone, I get that and an eBay copy diffuser is also another good choice. The one thing I hate about having a black car is that it's really hard to get anything to stand out, it all blends which is why I stayed away from the diffuser mode.
I'd really like to ask everyone's opinion actually, I want to spray up the Reiger diffuser. I bought matt black because gloss black would have been overkill on a black car. I looked at carbon effect but it looked a little light in colour so I figured flat black would give me a blank canvas. After fitting it, it really is just too ALL black for me so I want to lighten it up a couple of shades to a graphite colour. The question I have is, do I mix up Plasti Dip and do this myself by thinning out a blend of white and black (or gun metal and black. PD gun mental is like primer colour, horrid) for spraying from a gun (slowly mix in black until I get the colour I want) or do I go and get it properly painted at a shop in say, BMW Sparkling Graphite Metallic or a similar standard graphite colour which will be glossy? Honestly I like the flat black on the black car. If you want to try a dark gunmetal, definitely plastidip it first to make sure you like it.

yes, it was the first piece they produced and I bought it at the essen car show last year. my plan was to paint it the same color the oem 1m diffusor has got.

Thanks Cozy, good to know its not too tight around the exhaust. That may have just been the way it looked in the pic. Looks good!

That looks really good.
I've asked the Australian distributor about getting a gloss black one. |

Do it! Any car other than black will look amazing with gloss black. I'd really like to see someone with a black car use it though, just to see. I'm still undecided on painting this, perhaps dipping it next week a dark graphite.

Dammit - I've been looking for exactly this for ages! Kept eyeing up ebay carbon diffusers, but was considering getting one just for the shape and painting it gloss black anyway. But a diffuser that comes gloss black, covers the BMWP tailpipes, and fits properly whilst being more aggressive than stock is exactly what I'm after. Man, you need to stop keeping secrets!
Out of interest, how much is it from the UK distributer, and who are they? (PM if preferred.) I NEED one of these! |
