Hey could you point me to the adaption reset in INPA for DCT and engine.
I managed DCT reset through Tools32 but INPA would be better.

When I choose adaptions it shows current values, but I can’t find the reset menu.
Same for the engine. DCT is just one variant (DKG_90). My old engine is MEVD176k.

So in the meantime I found the engine adaption reset menu.

I reset the throttle body (since it has Valvetronic I wonder if it does anything since on normal operation it’s always open…) and something air related, I forgot what it was exactly as it was in German.

So after that, it definitely had impact on the lack. Wouldn’t say it’s totally gone, but at least 90-95% by my guesstimate.

So props to TS for this advice.

PS: this is without any other stuff. So no SIB software update and other procedures. Just the DCT and engine adaptations.

I took my 135i to the dealership and had the SIB installed a few months ago. Seemed to work for a while but now it's as bad as it was before.

Still wrapping my head around the fact that this car left the factory like this - ie losing all power for up to 2 seconds after coming to a stop with the air conditioning running - and the only way to fix it is to buy a cable, install software on your laptop, and start monkeying with the DME.

Anyway. Just ordered a K+DCAN cable. Seriously fed up with this issue, it's outright dangerous.

Just got my 2011 135i about 3 months ago bought it from someone who didnt want to fix it ended up having to do ofhg new serp belt and tensioner to get it going again so far. This seems to be the only other issue I have had with the car. When I have the ac on I get the lurch and rev fluctuations is it safe to assume the adaptation resets should be the first step to take or check for the update first?

The aircon lurching was a nightmare for me. Finally fixed it with the KCAN cable and loads of photos of German text translated into English. But yeah once that was done the trans is perfectly fine with or without aircon. The SIB update sort of helped for a while before that, until it didn't. If I bought another 135i I wouldn't bother with the SIB, at least not until I'd reset adaptations.
