The GLK received a rear brake service and general cleanup, readiness for winter (fluid film on the subframe).

Added a new Bimmer to the family!

Took delivery of a 2025 i4 xDrive40 on 10/30.

I've leased two i3's back to back before the 1er entered the picture, so not new to them, and while I don't know if I could go full in on the EV train; I sure as heck missed the "get in and go" ease of a daily driver EV. This i4 is also pretty incredible, it feels 100% a BMW, just...silent. The dual motor AWD acceleration is incredible, it's my first xDrive car, and as reported, feels RWD most of the time, but the front just digs in when it needs to and it feels incredible! It's so nice to have the more relaxed adaptive suspension on rougher roads, plus all the small features; even a darn *backup camera*! I'll never take for granted, but bless the 1er for its last of the analogue beasts! I'll be able to keep some mileage off the E82 but still be able to enjoy it all of its merits when needed.

Also, BMW sure knows how to make an amazing blue!

Quick rundown:
-Portimao Blue Metallic/Cognac Sensatec
-M Sport, Shadowline Package, 19" staggered wheels w/ Red M Brakes, Driver Assistance Package, Heated Steering Wheel.

Nice combo there for sure. My 1er is a Le Mans blue. I get lots of compliments. I also have a metallic silver E90 330i and still love and use it my daily when I go to the office. About 30 miles total.

I never test driven those electric BMWs as of yet. I been tempted for sure, I just love having no car payments for a while now that I cant justify any car until now. They sure look nice. 😊

My other cars - '99 C5 Corvette convertible, 2010 E91, and, as of last week, a 2019 Kia Stinger GT2 (which means the 2010 E91 has to go as my wife has this bizarre notion that one can own too many cars).

My 128, Little Red, with is big baby brother Kia Stinger, Big Red.

2010 Honda accord as a daily. It’s abysmal but does the job.

The buy back 135i is the weekend car or I drive once a week to work.
Honda replaced by an F06 640. Honda ate a timing chain

Gave the DD some love.
Fresh suspension bits, brembo rotors and pads, POR15 on the calipers, 30mm lift kit, 18" MB wheels + 29" BFGs.

Me neither, until this one came my way, and I started to restore and mod it.
Aside from some known issues, they seem like they're one of the most reliable MBs around. Not too terrible to work on either. Honestly, really makes for a solid DD and winter beater - so comfy, especially with bigger rubber and the suspension lift.

More mods and restoration work in the spring... too fukn cold out now to continue

The fleet...

LOL - if we are counting bikes, I have two of those, and both rather vintage at this point.

My high school ride - a 1985 Chas Roberts road frame with an eclectic mix of components only a broke high school bike racing fanatic could scrounge up. Rehabbed and back on the road after sitting for 30 years last year.

Roberts by kevinr1916, on Flickr

Those Modolo carbon fiber shifters were the bomb in 1985. A Christmas present.

No picture of my other one - it's a stock 1994 Bianchi Ocelot mountain bike.

Two months ago, I added a 2019 Kia Stinger GT2 AWD as my daily driver, replacing the 2010 E91, which has moved on to a new home. My E82 is Crimson Red and is known as "Little Red" and the Stinger is HiChroma Red and is now known as "Big Red."

My current vehicles

- 2019 Kawasaki Z900, actually traded this for a Pontiac Solstice which I traded for my 128. Then found this bike for sale and bought it back

- 2008 Yamaha R6, owned it from 19-22, sold it, then in july last year got a certified letter from an impound yard, so I sprung it from impound and took it back. Sold it to a kid in 22 but he never registered I guess.

- 2008 BMW 128i, see Z900 lol. Stock and a daily, otherwise.

- 2010 Ford Crown Victoria, Interceptor, was a Florence Ky detectives car, I got it a while back as a cheap daily then just kinda kept it around. Swapped in full civilian interior, made it sound like a Mustang

- 2003 Ford Ranger. I am the 2nd owner on this old girl. Super clean and nearly rust free, til I wrecked it last year. Got it fixed, the included photo is before the wreck.

I can't seem to part from the 2 old Fords. They're both too reliable and dependable to get rid of, despite being forgotten about most days.
Bikes are the toys. Then the BMW for the daily.

Wait, I'm backwards. Isn't the BMW supposed to be the toy?

Update...
Got rid of 2018 Macan S and replaced it with 2022 M240i xdrive. 3 fun cars to drive. Oddly enough, I still like driving the 128i the most but they're all fun for different reasons.
