Call me the only one, but I love to listen to Drum & Bass while driving, it makes me feel like I'm going somewhere, even if it's just down to the store.

After the comment above (that deep into Classic Rock) I guess I should go out and get some glitter-covered crutches with "Rock 'N Roll" painted up the side. But then I can still give you a run for your money sitting behind the wheel

Have Fun,
Rick

All I can say is wow! Since I'm a huge fan of Hendrix I'm gonna have to ask you to tell a bit more about the concert... Please Where it was, which band, few songs that were played...? Thanks

Lately on my iPod - Jason and the Scorchers, The Smithereens, Metallica, Dragonforce, Cheap Trick, Ozzy, Satriani, The Donnas, emmet swimming, New Order, The Darkness and old Van Halen

On XM - Boneyard and Hair Nation - I love 80's rock!

and for my kids - the Jonas Brothers (I actually like some of their tunes) and Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus.

My musical tastes are pretty catholic so there's a wide range of material on my iPod. Sometimes I put the entire library on random and I'm invariably surprised by some of the stuff that I do have on there (Rosie O'Donnell's Christmas album? Really? Where the hell did that come from?)

My latest playlist from Mosport has, in alphabetical order:
  • Asia (yes, Asia, and I don't want to hear about it )
  • Black Flag
  • Black Francis
  • Camper Van Beethoven
  • The Cat Empire
  • The Clash
  • Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen
  • Concrete Blonde
  • Dead Kennedys (lots of Dead Kennedys)
  • Devo (whip it good!)
  • Elvis
  • Grinderman
  • The Hives
  • Husker Du
  • Metric (possibly the best band in the world)
  • Mission of Burma (also possibly the best band in the world)
  • Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds
  • Parliament
  • Presidents of The USA
  • The Raincoats
  • The Supersuckers
  • Tom Waits
  • The Tragically Hip

Oddly, I've got enough Jimmy Buffett on there to drive to Thunder Bay without hearing the same track twice, but I rarely play it in the BMW - Bubba definitely gets tons more play in the Miata.

Yet again I am shocked and impressed. Someone else also listens to such oldies as Concrete Blonde, DK's, and Husker Du.

I already threw out my Rosie O'Donnell Christmas album. Now I play "The Thanksgiving Hits by Lawrence Welk"

It was the Experience, and it was May 16, 1969. Frankly, I had a little help with the date, and if it wasn't for the link (below), I couldn't tell you the playlist. I was, and still am, very into Hendrix, but that kind of detail went up in smoke a long time ago.

http://www.jimi-hendrix.com/encyclop...9690516,2.html

I know it was the 1969 concert because it was before Woodstock. It was really hard to hear with all of the ambient noise, and the Civic Center (now First Mariner Arena) is an acoustical nightmare. The best sounding concert (for me) I ever went to there was in last-minute cheap seats in the back corner, under the upper level, for Three Dog Night - sounded like headphones.

Enjoy - "I know what I want but I just don't know how to go about gittin' it"

Have Fun,
Rick

Mostly i listen to a local band (from the same town as me), SABATON, there really good.
Otherwise i listen to all kinds of music, Beethoven, mozart, Pink, Wierd Al Yancovic. I think everything is playing in my car, but mostly Sabaton. I can really recommend that band.

Thanks for the reply and for finding the playlist. Nice songs they played, even Cream's Sunshine... My favourite one would probably be Red house. I have to admit I'm a bit jealous - I wish I could say that I've seen and hear Jimi play

Feeling sweet feeling, drops from my fingers...

Peace

Definitely Hendrix!!!!!!! Love Jimi and Zep. But also a lot of other classic rock and also 90's hip hop. Throw some Bob Marley, Dub Reggae. Some times a little Jazz (coltrane, miles, Wes. Lots of blues!

I hear you! There is no way I could answer "What's your favorite group" or even "What kind of music do you like best." For groups I might be able to list a Top Ten, but there is way too much good music out there.

And even though I would qualify to live in Geezerville, there are some newer groups I like - Some White Stripes, Cheryl Crow, and others.

Have Fun,
Rick

Currently on heavy rotation from my iPod:

The Black Keys (their last two albums)
Calvin Harris - I Created Disco
People Under the Stairs - The OM Years
Shadow Dancer - Golden Traxe
Boys Noize - Oi Oi Oi Remixed

Those last two are great electronic albums for driving spiritedly!
