Geez! I just read the entire thread for the 1st time. I'm not slamming the 335i's and I know a lot of people are happy with them, but I sure am glad I bought the 328i. It has been a fantastic car with ZERO problems. I was thinking of getting an '08 530i to replace a Lexus LS430 but I'm not so sure now. Most of the problems with the 335i seems to be turbo-related. And the problems with dealer/BMWUSA support really surprise me.

dead fuel pump - 7+ weeks in shop
loose bulb that couldnt be found for a while leaky runflat tire limp mode - overheat induced... oil cooler retrofit squeeky driver seat - went away after a week or so steering column lock - 4 or 5 times total, no biggie, just wiggle and restart I still love this car more than any car I have ever owned. |
