Look at the concavity of the double-spokes on the rear wheels. You can see they're the different version intended for the E9X.

That being said, I did query the part numbers on BMWFans.info. The information isn't completely accurate IMO, but it seems as though the weights are nearly identical, with only a negligible difference between them. Interestingly enough, the 313 M version entered production in January of 2012 (likely for 135is production), while the 313 Performance version entered production earlier in January of 2009, likely as part of the BMW Performance Parts catalog. http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/36116856666 http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/36116856667 http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/36116787645 http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/36116787646 |

The guy has gone on record saying he has the E90 version of the wheels, and the rears look like it, but you're still questioning the look of the front, based on a few photos.

Normally I'd question it, considering how poorly E9X wheels fit the E82, but the rears really do look like the different offset E9X version to me. Maybe he's running the 1 Series versions in the front only? Not only, but the rears almost look like they could be 19" diameter in my eyes...again, really tough to form any sort of judgement based on the photos. |

Crazy prices, though. The BMW Performance 313 front wheel (P/N 36-11-6-787-645) is listed on ECS's website for $231.98, and the 313M front wheel (P/N 36-11-6-856-666) is listed for $426.27. That ///M costs a lot. lol |

And I noticed the price difference on ECS myself, quite a spread between the M and Performance version for the fronts! If I had to chose, it'd be a tough call. I'm guessing I'd go with the M version because I've always liked the little stick-on M logo things. Not that my preferences really matters though, as more and more of the cool parts from BMW Performance are going NLA, as we've discussed elsewhere |

I guess I need to hurry up and buy an M4 so I can wait a few years and then buy those M Performance parts before they vanish...but then again, I'm really not crazy about the extra 10" of length the M4 will take up in my garage

Pulled into the parking lot at work today, parked next to this M4.
Crazy to step back and think sometimes how BMW has evolved/continues to evolve. I think back to my 1991 318is, 2002 M3, 2006 Z4, then look at my 2008 1, then there's this 2018 beast...what the hell will we have in 2028? Things used to be so simple. Haha. In 2028 I know one thing, I'll still have my 2008 1, just hopefully 1-2 others parked next to it. Never getting rid of this vehicle (like they all say...) |

I've been quiet on the forums since one of my wastegates failed... saving up for the next mod (and repair).
Since I'm incapable of going a month without spending something on my car, today I ordered it some vanity plates. I'm sure they're not to everybody's taste; but I bet you can guess what's on the horizon for my little 1er... Last edited by xQx; 02-13-2023 at 09:15 PM.. |

lol what is up with you and these loud colors? Sorry to disappoint but I don't think I could do Sahkir or Austin Yellow for the exterior. In all seriousness, I'm shooting for Silverstone Metallic over cloth. I previously wanted Mineral Grey, but it's too dark and I know I won't be satisfied trying to keep it clean. If were I going the M2 route, I'd probably go for Long Beach Blue. Or Hockenheim Silver on an M2 Competition

Part two of Project DFG has begun! Time to let things get broken in and acquire a nice coating of carbon to determine it's "real" sound/tone. Probably let the carbon build for ~2500 miles or so...
Nifty that this Borla ProXS is, at least so far, actually a tad quieter than the OE muffler with golf tee mod. The Borla is /much/ deeper & cleaner sounding though, and since it's a straight through design, all the glorious pops, burbles and over run noises are much more present than with the stock muffler, even with the flap always open. I really really like it so far! And, best of all- there is no drone. Like, at all. None. Nada. So far I'm in for $130 for (new/unused) parts, including shipping, from the classifieds here, and another $130 for install. Still way way way less than even your average used Berk Street. I'm particularly fond of the fact that I can progressively make it louder if I want- always easier to get louder by removing the resonator, then secondary cats and so on, than it is to try and tame an overly loud exhaust... Sound clips to come

I have long arms and often drive with the armrest in the "up" position, so today I went ahead and did the armrest delete (requires two pieces to be purchased.) I really like it. It reminds me of older sports cars' cleaner center consoles, and my hands are always at 3 and 9, anyways, so I really don't need it. Plus, no rattles.

I purchased the outer plastic cover for the arm rest delete, but neglected to purchase the inner portion that it mounts onto. Part numbers: Outer piece (the one you see) - 51169110474 Inner mounting plate - 51167135455 Just an FIY, when I purchased 51169110474 a few years ago, it was roughly $16. Now, every price I see for it is over $80. The RealOEM list price is still under $10. Insane! Last edited by tock172; 10-24-2018 at 11:30 PM.. |
