Insurance...waiting for their claims people to call me. It's doesn't look like it will be cheap...she had to hit the quarter panel as well as destroy the door...

To have your neighbor do that has got to be especially painful: You're most likely to see them (I was gonna say "run into" or "bump into") from time to time as a cruel reminder.

Dang sorry to see this man that's a real bummer... I guess it's good that her insurance will handle it which means nothing out of your pocket, just make sure that YOU pick the shop it's done at. Do research and involve your insurance to leverage them to do the repair right.

It's not in her company's interest to do the best job, they'll do it the cheapest way possible.

Past by the DIY workshop, winter tires will be ready to go on the car Saturday morning 9:30

Lifts are booked to the point that, for me doing the RSFB, sway bars and M3 arms will be pushed as far back as November 20th.

On the bright side, no more money spending ^^ which means saving up for that LSD probably in December (we shall see).

Also looking at some used BMW 17x8 ET47 wheels (was surprised how many are available) as well as the rarer 17x8.5 ET41 wheels (from E36 M3 and Z3). This maybe my wheel setup (17x8 ET47 with 235/40/17 Nankang AR-1s all round) for track. I may even consider swapping out those 18s for 17s for daily and road, we shall see.

Secondary cats gone today.
Remains drone free. None. Nada. Can cruise at 2K RPM's all day - It's really got no drone. Odd thing is that removing the secondary cats mad it deeper, but actually made it even quieter around 2K.

Hung my GoPro off the back bumper, but the wind noise makes the video pretty much worthless- I can get some low RPM stuff, but getting on it is just air flow. Trying to put something together, but even what I've got requires headphones to do it any justice- my poor laptop speakers cannot come even close to producing the low frequencies that this setup produces

I've got so many things I want to do to my car right now, it's almost (ALMOST) irritating. I have a Schroth Quick-Fit Pro (w/ sub straps) on-order, but that was a small thing, now I want to do a big thing. A really great YouTube series (easycomposites.co.uk) has me thinking I can do my own Carbon Fiber work (hood, maybe wide fenders), but I've been dreaming for a long while now about ITB's and velocity stacks (a super unique project choice), but then, I've been lusting-after an exhaust forever, and now, Dad is saying "How about you wait for coilovers on X-Mas?" which makes it that much more difficult on my Senioritus-compromised little brain. I'm spoiled with choice, and I absolutely love my car how it is, but it just needs that last little bit to be perfect, and with the Marching Band season a day from being over, I'm going to be spoiled with wonderful, awful time again (when I'm not flying) to do things with the car...

Kidding aside, as I said before, I love the BMW PE and would like to be able to replace mine with a new one (so I buy while it's still available) should it get damaged, say, in a rear-end collision.

On the other hand, if I never have to replace mine I'm sure I'll be able to sell the brand new, still in the box, spare one considering it will be "No Longer Available" one day, making it a future hard-to-find item.

Win-win, as far as I'm concerned.

Don't mind a little effort for some peace of mind.

Might I suggest buying an entire 135i as backup, since they're also no longer made? All kidding aside, I was talking to a guy a few months back who loves his new Rolex Explorer so much that he bought a second identical one to keep in a box, just in case he looses his and they change the model in the future.

I emailed getbmwparts.com after placing my order and asked if the exhaust was still available and they emailed me back and said:

These are still available and in stock at our local warehouse! It'll be in and shipping your way in about 2 business days!
