It will be exactly 2 months after taking delivery at the Welt.. I need this car already!

Please do on the pads, I have no idea what it has right now but they do dust like a MoFo.. although this was about 4 trips to Orlando so it's been a couple months without a decent wash. But will definitely look for some better ones when it's time to replace them.
A lot of people like Akebono Ceramic pads for the lighter dust, and I'm liking my Porterfield R4-S pads so far...

Enjoy that M2 Comp. it seems like M's real return to form...

On the subject this thread is for: I ordered a new valve cover (with gaskets and bolts), spark plug tubes, and I'll pick up some fresh spark plugs at the auto parts store when I actually start doing this thing.

Christmas is such a hard time for a car enthusiast...so many choices (#FirstWorldProblems) in order:
1. Velocity Stacks (S54 throttles + S54 throttle actuator + tuning + custom CF trumpets)
2. Rear end work (solid subframe mounts + aluminum/delrin diff mounts + Dinan upper shock mounts)
3. Coil-overs (F.A. 500's, Bilstein PSS10, Sachs Performance, etc.)
I'm spoiled with good possibilities right now after not doing much with the car over the summer.

I would like to confirm the torque values listed on this website:

https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...mounts/5bUExgU

More specifically, the front upper and lower control arms to hub values. They are pretty high, rated at 175 nm for both upper and lower arms, are those values correct?

Values 2AZ and 4AZ, just seems high IMO.

I am currently having a hard time finding some clean used 17x8 Original wheels, the majority of them are scuffed and need repairing/repainting, which brings the price to a total of just under 1K. Which makes me wonder if it is worth it or not, especially when for the same price one looks at some Ultraleggeras 17x8 brand new and weigh in at 8.5kgs a wheel. Or spending €200 more and get the Alleggerita 17x8 that weigh 7.5kgs or 17x8.5 that weigh 8.1 kgs each.

However, being super light on crappy roads bring some concern regarding cracking them. Maybe wheels in the 9-10 kgs will be better suited? unsure.

Just ordered the Whiteline subframe inserts (P/N KDT918) and 4 subframe replacement bolts (P/N 33 32 6 760 340). Will install in early 2019. Have heard good things and am looking forward to positive results.

Those seem right. 130ft-lbs and 50ft-lbs + 90* are what I used...

they're nice and noticable, fantastic for a $50 mod.

I've noticed mainly with going over bumps on the highway. before the rear end would be vague with where it's bouncing and now it'll be fairly normal feeling, relative to the front end

Drove through a nutty storm on the way back from visiting family for the holiday. What's usually a 3.5hr drive took us over 6 hours. PAINFULLY slow going.

Home now though and (im)patiently waiting all the goodies I ordered on sale yesterday!!

Okay then, i am surprised how many bolts and nuts in the front and rear suspension are torque to yield. Older threads reveals many users replaced arms and RSFBs without replacing the hardware (nuts and bolts).

Yeah, at that point it was my first mod to the car, and I was suffering from a case of "git-'er-done-itus." It's worked out so far...

I just found and fixed a loose strut top nut (the one holding the top mount to the strut itself) it was making an annoying, and slightly concerning clunking sound that has been getting worse. It is so satisfying fixing little issues, especially noises. Now, however, I've noticed a new, intermittent ticking when the drivetrain is under load. Possibly giubo or CSB, but I'll keep an ear on it...

Now why would those bolts comes loose? looks like some vibrations are the cause?

I replaced all the hardware as well. Be sure to check the grade of fastener to the subframe. Big difference between a 8.8 and 10.9 torque value.

They're may have been a high-speed off-track excursion experienced by that side of the car...

It was just the top nut attached to the shock shaft, but I was a little concerned it was loose.

Wish there were an M4 GTS style hood for our cars I don't LOVE any of the options as they are. Makes me consider buying a hood and then modifying it from there but the thought of cutting up a $1200 hood right now is making me groan lol

Picked up a 3/8" 5-30 NM torque wrench, with the 3/8 to 1/4 and 3/8 to 1/2" adapters. Now i can torque low values without an issue.

New compression arm bolts (x4), since they are TTY stretch type.

Specific E8x series subframe bushing tool rented and arrived, basically everything is good to go for tomorrow's big job (M3 arms, sway bars, RSFBs).

All torque values downloaded as well, second time around and hopefully no issues.

Finally got around to recording & uploading a video for Project Drone Free Growl-
It's not much, but it's something...

Audio was left flat- use headphones and feel free to adjust the EQ- flat doesn't really represent the awesome sound...
and if your speakers aren't great your missing most of the bass...

And there's no drone. None. Nada. Awesomeness....

After a month of driving around with a dented front bumper and no diffuser, I finally was able to fit my 1M style front bumper and painted OEM BMW Performance carbon fiber diffuser.

I've been running full E85 more and more often lately, and with the near 500 miles a week I put on this car, that means lots of fill ups. It also means a lot more time to take in the view.
