Anyone in Arizona, California, or Nevada running the "Sport" map on ACN91 octane fuel? Any problems?
More power than ACN91, less power?

I'm running it on 93 octane fuel. My observations after the car has been driven for awhile -

ACN91 with "Sport map"

I ran the sport map on ACN91 for about 2 weeks with Linear Throttle. It ran great until 1 week ago I began to experience a rough/shuddering idle on a cold start. The engine would start, the needle would hit around 1200 RPM then idle to 1500 RPM and shake along with a nice plume of black smoke from the exhaust, hardly much power from the throttle. Then turned off and started again it ran okay. I checked the error codes and received cylinder misfires on multiple cylinders.

I downgraded the tune to the "Drive" map and it ran fine for a day, the next day I started and had the same issue, only this time turning the ignition off and starting didn't help. I then uninstalled Cobb and the problem persisted. I drove to the dealer with a shuddering car and found out they need to replace all 6 injectors. Not sure if the fuel/tune combo has anything to do with it or if it just pushed an inevitable issue over the edge (which is a fairly common problem on any untuned N54).

During the time I got to play with the Sport Map, it ran great without any issues. I'd be interested to know other's experience running ACN91+SPORT.

The chance of it being anything other than a coincidence is pretty slim. Is it still in for the repair?

So ~same HP as Dinan stage 2, less torque but less than half the price and no warranty (N54).

Still interesting to me. Is this Stage 1? Is there a stage II for a 2009 135i? You might just pique my interest enough to swap my Dinan for this instead of JB4...

Like this?

I had dinan stage II on the car, BMW said it was a flash issue. They removed the dinan, reloaded the original BMW sOftware and put the dinan back on.

Problem solved.

Anyone else have issues reading that PDF on an iPhone or iPad? I saw it before, but all the text was just gradient squares of white, black and grey.

Thats normal I dunno what they're doing when they make that PDF. It won't read correctly on my Xoom either. Just use a computer.

Yep, it was sort of like that, only my problem was not a flash issue. It was different, my car would shudder really bad and hitting the gas actually moved the car but I was getting cylinder misfire codes and greatly reduced power. I was rocking the old injectors and they all went out! Got them all replaced and now it's running better than when I bought it.

If I put it in drive, the car would lurch forward on the rpm increases and die in the decreases. Fun stuff!!

Anyhoo... Back on track....

The above was the Janaury 5, 2011 reply from Cobb to the 3 or 12 months question.

Sure would like to get some straight answers - we have been waiting since Janaury and still not even an ETA?
