This is BMW #4, following an E36, E30, and E39. All excellent cars, and my E82 is just next in the list. Outside of those, I've had two Miatas (one a track/autox toy) and a raging POS 1987 Formula Firebird.
And my trusty '96 Toyota Tacoma. Had it since new, put a guhzillion miles on it, and will NEVER get rid of it. |

Last car I drove before my 2012 135i was a 2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude 4x4, it wasn't actually mine it was my spouse's, though I'm the one that always drove it. The car I owned before I drove the Jeep was a 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS.
Here's an interesting bit of info, most of the cars I've owned are no longer made: 1992 Ford Tempo LX 1998 Chevy Monte Carlo Z34 2006 Hyundai Tiburon GS 2011 Lancer GTS (as mentioned above, is still being made, though the Evo is not) 2015 Jeep Cherokee (as mentioned above, worst vehicle ever, tranny died at 1100 miles, many other issues with it caused us to get rid of it) 2012 BMW 135i M-Sport (and loving it!) |

I have been all over the board with my past cars. My "new" 128 is my third BMW. Past cars include:
2011 WRX E46 M3 Fiesta ST '08 Corvette Z06 I just traded in the Z06 for the 128... I found that it took the fun out of driving. Z06 had too much power for the road, where the 128 let's you use ever bit of RPM and you're still not going to go to jail for it haha |

I drove a 2015 Corolla before I bought my 128i. I [successfully] told myself that I needed a reliable Toyota for the long haul. Bought a brand new one and after 5 months couldn't stand driving the thing. That stupid Corolla was probably the most money I've ever lost in my entire life. I lost about 4k just on the trade in alone. But hey we live and learn...

I traded in a 2004 V6 Mustang for my 135i. It was bittersweet because i picked out the mustang with my grandpa and he gave it to me when I turned 16.

I typically have one sporty car and went without for about a year. However, I had two at the same time for a period. One was a pretty heavily modded 2011 V6 Mustang and the other was a 2013 Fiat Abarth with just a piggyback tune. Both very different and fun cars. I always loved the 1 series and wanted a 1 series M until I realized they were essentially unicorns. My interest reignited when the 135is came out, but the timing wasn't right since I also knew the 2 series was coming and I wanted to see what BMW would do with it. While I really like the 2 series, I just like smaller cars and the 1 just looks nicer to me. I will probably get an M2 later on but will just try to enjoy the 135is for a while.
