2018 BMW M2  [10.00]
I haven't been on here much recently nor have I really done much with my car. The last thing I did was code out the e-diff. Just like the subframe bushing inserts, I didn't notice much-if any- difference. I may have to check and make sure I actually coded it out. Side note, I'm approaching 55k miles. She's getting old!

Not even close!

You're just barely out of the warranty period.

Well, tomorrow my car will have earned the "low135" tag. Barring any mishaps, I'll be picking it up bagged and ready for more mods

Thanks! Me too. My car was recently involved in some "overspray" from a local construction site blasting my car with fiberglass insulation. So it's dirty as hell right now waiting for the company to cut a check for this $1500 detail. But it'll look real nice when it's all cleaned up and sitting down low. Here's what I walked out to...

Oh boy, does it wipe off at least or is it hardened/adhered to the car?

I hand washed it twice and it keeps coming back. It's also literally everywhere. Engine bay, full interior, trunk, everything is getting detailed. Worst part is the soft top as the fiberglass is almost embedded. I have the to option of replacing the top but a highly recommended detailer says he can get it out.

That sucks man. Hopefully you get it straightened out. Coming from the Corvette world, I never really ever considered yellow on a car, but you pull it off really well.

Great looking car.

On a side note...what side marker lights are those if you don't mind?

Thanks! It's certainly a loud color and I'm sure I'll miss it when I wrap it again. The side markers are from DEPO and they're the smoked ones

Wow, that sucks... That stuff is so fine and gets everywhere as evidence of how it's in the engine bay. As for the top, I would think a good vacuum followed by a tacky lint roller should get everything off of the canvas top. Not sure I'd wash the top first as the brush could further embed those fibers.

I have to ask, what did the site supervisor say when you approached him about getting the car cleaned?

Yeah it's gonna be a pain to do, honestly. I didn't wash the top as far as scrubbing, just hit it with some water while I was washing the rest. Detailer thinks he shouldn't have any problems getting it.

Their reaction was surprisingly supportive. They said they get people claiming flat tires all the time but something as clear cut as this, with the pictures I sent them, there was no question as to their fault in the situation. The project manager is a car guy and knows pride in vehicles. He said he wants my car looking better than it did before this issue.

Think the finances are in order. Going to the dealership shortly to look at a new Rebel with the leather&sound package without air ride (heard horror stories about air ride) and the nice moonroof option. I'm tired of missing work because the car can't handle to much snow. Thinking I should get somewhere near 14k for the car on trade-in.

A bit off topic.
While the 1er is in the shop for a busted Koni strut, I've been diving the FIL's "never breaks down" Lexus.
Tonight, in a torrential downpour, battery was dead!
Jumped it, bought a new one. Installing it, discovered that the dead one is AAA with "3yr replacement" and 3 years is up next month.
Hoping they'll help with reimbursement.

Help ? They should just cover it otherwise what's the point of the warranty.....assuming it's not been mistreated which I assume it hasn't.

Wow at the yellow cab with all the overspray. I would have been so mad! But $1500 is a healthy amount and the owner is so lucky for the existing wrap!

Did an ATF and filter change yesterday. This has to be least fun and messiest job I've ever done.

Only a slight positive change in behavior, but, I did this more of a maintenance thing than addressing a problem

Dang that is low.
Hoping the air ride is so you can raise it up to actually use it as a car.
