Installed and no errros on adaptive drive. Good white bright light. Very happy so far
1) Yes they are supposed to lock. Just like OEM. When you insert the bulb you will feel when its positioned right. Then just rotate to lock. 2) I'm not sure. Sorry... I might be wrong but maybe the ballast dont mind either way as long as the connection to the bulb from the ballast is pluged in the correct way? |

Install was easy except for getting off the cover on the drivers side (passenger side for you LHDers). Quick crappy pic of colour difference from stock. |

It seems that the AE's dont light up at all in daylight. But with the right angle... you'll see it's not that bad. I had to almost get down on my knees to get the right angle. I guess this has something to do with the AE design. Horizontal line ish... at the same height as the headlight if you catch my drift.

Soo I have been using these angel eyes for couple of months now and had no problems with it.. Couple of days ago, I parked my car infront of a store front with large glass window and was able to see the reflection of my car's front.
When I started my car, the lights flickered.. I know this has to do with the canbus system doing some sort of system checking and whatnot but I never knew BMS angel bulbs did that. Anyone else experience this? oh and if anyone's interested, this is how mine looks like. And FYI, the bms is nowhere near bright as the oems halogen bulbs (bms on the left and halogen on the right in the last picture).. but still looks pretty good. Unfortunately these seem to be made in China like the eBay 9w kit that floating around months ago. I was going to put this BMS kit up for sale since I went right back to the LUX kit, but I never got around to doing it. These may be cheap in price, but they seem cheaply made as well. Get the LUX kit and you won't have to worry about quality as long as you install them correctly.

Overall good product. I do think they could be much brighter in daylight.
I was behind my buddy and he told me I didn't have my angel eyes on after the install, which I did, too bad they can't double the LED output on this to 8 LED.

Just installed them tonight. I have a parking garage and the light is dim. They look great so far. I havnt been able to test them in the day light. Ill have to wait until tomorrow for that..My only concern was I wish BMS had better instructions on how to remove the lght housing plastic backing. It took me about 2 hours to put these in haha

after installing them lat night I got adaptive errors from the (2) ballasts jingling around..the new design is not very friendly with the moving parts in our headlights..im uninstalling them tonight after work...:/
final verdict...not many wires and ballasts
