These pics are from Upper Beechmont in the Hinterland area of the Gold Coast, taken yesterday. Queensland. Australia. Behind the car to the East is the Coral Sea in the Pacific ocean, which you see on the horizon in the colour shot, about 16 klms as the crow flies. The shot over the cattle trough is to the North West and the valley to the right of the car is to the South East. The sunset is typical for this region. Unfortunately my shadow is in one of the shots of the car as you can see. Better planning and composition in future. I am an absolute beginner to photography and have yet to learn photoshop, though I now have the software, so these shots are unretouched.
Hope it shows you a little of my country. Last edited by gazz; 07-21-2011 at 11:48 PM.. |

Hi i took delivery of my 1M on Monday in Dubai. The 2nd car in the country.. its was a long 8 month wait but it was worth the wait...!!
I have owned and driven some cool cars in my time but the 1M just ozzes charisma and brings a new least of life into M cars..!! A true drivers car!! The last few pictures below are after i have fitted 10mm H&R spacers on the rear to give it the stance it should have been delivered with!! 10mm was too much on the front (rubs frt inner wheel arch) and the dealer didn't have anything lower than 10mm... still looks good though.. when i am not out driving the car i might get around to updating with more pictures. |

TVW competition has an AW car that has the nice addition of a gloss black roof, CF decklid spoiler, and CF mirror caps: http://www.tvw-cardesign.de/index.ph...id=606#galerie
I'm not a fan of the wheels, but I'm seriously considering the roof and decklid. |

been driving the latest member of my stable for two weeks. spent the first week pottering around town with stock wheels and tires. pretty good fun revving to 5,500rpm which, according to my local dealer, was the max break-in rpm... handling and power delivery were sublime
in the second week... well, things took a literally dark turn... did some wicked hooning... couldnt help it... the car flew with its new shoes- volk te37sl and pilot super sport (meant the volk's to be track wheels but decided to use them daily... stock wheels now kept as mementos) some before and after pics: |

This weekend we had the pleasure of working with Tony R. of BM Racing to install a set of KW V3 on Franklin's 1M. We lowered the car by 1" all around and pulled the front pins to max out the camber. We also performed a 'hybrid' alignment that is suitable for the street and track.
We ran a quick shakedown lap, and the body roll and settling time is noticeably reduced. The car also feels more composed going over larger bumps. More to come when we spend more time on the race track Enjoy the pictures! |
