Even if it was frp. Would probally cost $200 to paint. And I think cf would be stronger in slek case. I had the icarbon in frp and cf and cf was stronger. Plus price difference was 200

I posted the last update on the 20th so don't have anything new to report this soon but I asked SleK to take some pictures of the finished lip before they send it off to molding so I should have those once they finish.

I would not paint the lip, and if you think that Carbon Fiber is going to be more durable then FRP, espically when you go off track, you are mistaken. Its going to chip and crack like crazy.

if this lip was out of polyurethane or even FPR, i would be in 100% in. It has nothing to do w/ price, at least for me. But from my personal experience, as a daily driver, front lips get destroyed. And its a lot easier to fix FPR than CF
I love the 3d lip cause its polyurethane, just not my fav design |

Don't think I like it... It's nothing like the 1M lip...

I picked up my car today from SleK and I talked to them about the direction they decided to go with the lip. In the end SleK could not make it 100% like the 1M front lip because they tried to leave the vents open but it looked ugly so instead they decided to make a lip that works with the contour of the car, yet would still be functional and provide down force due to it being as close to a splitter as you could get and still look good.

The thing I liked most about the 1M lip was it's "blade-like" design. This one's a bit too chunky for my taste but I'm sure there are many others here who will love it. |

it looks really functional. I wish you had some photos of the entire car with the lip.

The lip will be finished on Wends and then sent out for mold creation. Which takes about 3 weeks. Once that is finished I will get a call to drive down and have a test fit done. If the fitment is 100% then a group buy will be created since SleK does not want to start any type of group buy or take anyone's money until they have confirmed fitment and quality are top notch.

is it just me, or does this lip seem to have more of a classic front lip style (unlike the blade or the recent splitter trends) - I like how it really hugs the lower line but extends and accents it.
Can't wait to see a pic CF and painted. Would be a shame to have to buy CF and paint it- but i'm thinking this style of a splitter may look really hot in body color.
