Little update:
Dyno will wait until I get a chance to get data logging for Evolve to ensure all is well and see if there are any tweaks. Tune is still smooth, low gears are very comfortable for traffic conditions and I wish i had less snow to drive it like I did the first few days Also notice differences between certain gas brands easily, not sure if one makes more power than other. EDIT: 6th gear is nice, pulls real well on hwy Gas quality really makes a difference

Heck yeah Finally something made for the 125i. Didn't even know that our car was de=tuned and had a 3 stage manifold that the 128i doesn't have. I always thought the 125i and the 128i were almost the same.

Most people are confused/dubious when you explain that the 125 actually has a 3 litre engine. |

Some 125i's also have electronic power steering instead of hydraulic. I would be unbelievably pissed if I ended up with EPS.

Hi All, I've installed this tune a few weeks ago and am happy with the results. It does make the car more responsive across the board and I now get a decent surge of power over 4000rpm. I can't see myself ever going back to the original tune. I've received a couple of questions about it so thought I'd share what I've learned.
Firstly, I use a Mac and it works fine via Parallels (and probably VM Fusion or Bootcamp). Yes you can do it all yourself. Here's the process.. 1. They send you a cable, you download the latest software and install this in Windows 2. Using the installed software, you read your original ECU data. This takes about an hour. Make sure the ignition is on but the engine is not running. 3. Email this data file to Evolve. A couple of days later they will email you back a modified file. 4. Upload this new file using the Evolve software and cable. Takes about 15 minutes. That's it. Being able to do the upgrade myself instead of sending the ECU unit overseas was the big attraction to me compared to other tuner solutions. Hope this helps. Cheers, Graham |

Any information on if there is a tune available for mass/Cali etc. n51 engined 128is? What could we expect with regards to our lower compression engines?

Hi Imran, has there been any development on this tune as previously mentioned? I am curious to see if you can alter the air:fuel ratio.

No dyno yet, but DISA/Evolved US spec 128i:
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=824894 I've ridden in this car in every step of its progress, and the difference is HUGE! Evolve delivers once again.

On the US site, horsepower and torque gains are still listed the same for Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes. Can you provide gains over stock for a Stage 2 128i with the DISA manifold swap?

I don't think they have local access to a 128i(seeing as they are in England), so that is on us. I should be there relatively soon. Just a few more things to do first.

Yeah, I forgot they were overseas. Would definitely be interested to see your dyno, but you have the headers too, so it won't really be apples to apples. I mean, I'd like to do the headers eventually, but will probably start with just the manifold swap and tune first. I'm just trying to decide between Evolve & Active at this point...the Evolve reviews sound great, but some of the Active reviews on the 3er forum sound pretty good, too. And they have some decent dynos of 328i's before and after the DISA + tune conversion showing final powers numbers ~265-270 bhp. Decisions, decisions...
