Hey bro, you have those 25mm breather filters on your Stock DVs? Like the one in the pictures some pages back? I just did this "cheap" bov mod and its pretty cool, but i was wondering if those filters muffle the sound or affect the flow of the "blow off"?

I am curious about one thing.
I had a MINI R56 before my 135, and i installed a BOV onto it. Since the vent to atmosphere, it took a little more time to build boost compared to the closed circuit, but it did work as it should, purely for audibility fun. But when i sold the car and removed the bov, converted it all back to stock, the ECU jumped straight in SAFE MODE. It threw a code about some boost leak issue. I had to get the dealer to reset the ECU to fix it. Why it happened can be a few possibilities but i do not know the exact reason why it did that. So, those that have installed this BOV onto a car designed for recirculating boost venting, upon demodding, did you encounter any issues? |
