Biggest thing I notice from my video is that I am slow as hell through the up-hill and that I could also benefit from shifting more. I really need to get back into an NA car lol I would be happy with a sub 1:50. Being within a few seconds of a 1M/M2 is right where I'd expect this car to be for what it is. NJMP Thunderbolt no chicane 1:35.28 Z2SS, TCK SA, M3 wishbones, Eibach FSB, EBC yellowstuff, FBO 93 oct This is a 2 second improvement over my last best with the only changes being the addition of M3 lower wishbones and recaro fixed backs. This fast lap occurred in between two cool down periods, as I was repeatedly losing all power in 95 degree weather. Not only that, part of my fender liner tore off on turn one, taking the tpms receiver in that wheel well with it. Despite that, pretty good day and shakedown for when I get my feet wet for the first time at WGI in three weeks. |

Had fun at Laguna Seca this weekend.
Best time was a 1:42.49 @spxx -- saw you on Race Hero. Didn't you run a 1:43.72? Vid of a slightly slower lap with traffic here, but still a 1:42.88

Figured I'd hop in this thread. I've sorted a majority of the issues with the car at this point, and have finally started having fun on the track again.
The Jefferson circuit is bumpy as all get out, but I enjoy it regardless. Username of car owner: ODJ Driver Name: ODJ Track: Summit Point Configuration: Jefferson Extended Lap Time: 1:25.66 Tires: Dunlop Direzza ZII Star Spec (~1/4-1/3 tread, 235/255 sizes) Link to video or results: Car highlights... * poly rsfb * m3 arms * ohlins R&T w/ swift springs * Diffsonline LSD * JB4 on map5 * stoptech trophy fronts w/ stoptech race pads You can't see me in the video, but I'm sliding around all over the place in my (stock) seat. Thinking about buckets and a half cage soon. |

Left NJMP for the first time and made the trek up to Watkins Glen this past weekend... and what a weekend it was. Most trying track weekend yet.
Long story short, between having to get my wheels balanced and a lot of rain, we had to keep pushing off my check out ride, and then some noise about no last day promotions.. not really happy considering it won't be until next year that I am out there (and probably for only once a year). Last session of the day they combined run groups and I got to play with some friends. It was going great except the half tank I got on track with went quicker than expected. Got around to turn six, upshifted into fourth and the car made this unholy pop, threw half-engine light, and then died after clutching in. Tried to start it right after and it ran really rough so I figured it threw in the towel. I sat there for a few minutes and cars continued to fly past. No flags were thrown, despite stopping next to a flagger station (that was unmanned... smh). I started it up a while after and drove back off track just fine.. Only code read was injector shut off. My friend driving behind me said the car threw a massive flame. It drove home 5 hours just fine so I'll keep sending it. Good to know our cars have no fuel starve issues until its pegged at 0. Lol So here's my quickest lap at 2:18.61. It's looking like I'd have been 2 seconds quicker hadn't that 911 slowed me down. Same setup as last time, Z2SS, Yellowstuff pads. I'll be running her once again at NJMP lightning in October, but it's due for some major upgrades. Dual OC, LSD, bushings... oh, and my dust boots are toast <- that only took 6 days folks. |

Also, I think Ginger_Extract doesn't care about the forum anymore and hasn't updated any of the times. Seems like your car is all sorted -- go beat my time at Laguna!

Haha yeah I need to get out there, the next few months are primo at Laguna with the Bay Area weather. Too bad I'll be traveling a ton for work in Q4. It'll be tough to squeeze in many events. You & Vin should cruise up to Laguna sometime soon. I was actually looking at renting Thunderhill 2mi and it's only $1,200 for 3 cars and $300 additional per car on weekdays. These prices were as of a few months ago but that would be such a blast. I'll bust out my sketchy iMovie skills and upload some in-car from BW and Thunderhill this weekend.
