We have done heaps of testing an nothing is holding us back now, We did more dyno runs today to make sure of our boost is within tolerance, our AFR's are spot on and of course the power has remained similar since the original install.
I am just about ready to release, just a few final things to check as we are good to go. I am very excited of the numbers the test car is putting out, and i am sure you guys will be happy to see the result as well. |

I saw the numbers tonight. I can't believe boost is so low! But that is what this chip is all about. Safety first for the engine. But the power and torque numbers are pretty impressive though! I will wait Andrew to reveal all.

Andrew, why aren't you showing the highest number we have seen which is over 240kw atw? Being conservative are we lol. What amazed me most is that we are getting these sort of numbers not with the crazy 14 or 15 psi of boost we are seeing in other tunes, but a conservative 12 psi maximum. This means less potential for failure and longer lasting turbo. I am sure there are other tunes that are giving bigger numbers (Procede is the first that comes to mind), but I rather go with the conservative tune that still gives me some serious numbers.
Now the the cat is out of the bag, I have to say that I am extremely pleased with this tune. It is giving me some serious torque to the extend that we now have a car that is capable of wheelspinning in the first two gears easily if you want to, and even third gear if you want to be stupid about it. I used to complain that first gear is too long, but it is now just fine. Just awesome! I have driven about 1000km now, with a mixture of very hard driving to regular day to day driving. It's just bang on. I've had 3 other forced induction engine with chip or pulley modifications, and this one takes the cream in terms of transformation from stock. |

Does the boost vary thru the rev range?
If you add exhaust or cones does it need a reprogram? Is it better with fuel efficiency, I mean comming from Europe they all run a bit rich because of the high speed driving. BTW well done and great results. Whats next? |

Yes it does varies. I don't have the numbers (Andrew has it) but it is in the 11's and low 12's most of the rev range. Fuel consumption has been about the same, and I can give you confirmation for up to 0.5l/100km only as my driving style varies so much in the 2700km that I have done. What I am observing is that it is probably better on normal light throttle driving, but a bit more thirsty if you open her up all the time. This is not unexpected as you now have lots more torque, so normal driving will require less throttle.
As for what is next, I have ordered a set of KW Clubsport and FMIC. The coilovers is going to make a big difference in the way the car drive, and the FMIC will help me maintain the power on the track. |

I will probably regret later but don't worry, I just won't drive it on the road as much. Leave it dedicated for the track. But if you get V2 (which is the similar as the PSS9 (but better built!) that you are looking at - B16 is just a PSS9 with electronic adjustment), you will probably improve your ride over stock to be honest! You don't have to lower the car that much.

Thanks. I just want to stress that I went for AA initially because it is a chip that Andrew was supplying, and it is the ONLY chip I can get locally that is supported locally. Sure I could have gone for some of the American option that I can buy online, but by saving a few hundred dollars, I would be taking a much bigger risk which isn't worth it. To start with, I would not know what to do if my car goes into limp home mode! Also, my research showed that AA is a safe tune. I am not going to chase outright horsepower while sacrificing reliability. Also, AA work so closely with Andrew that we will be trialling different things in the future, like a dedicated DP tune (the one you see is just a standard tune and will work with exhaust etc mods too), and even a race tune when I am ready to turn this into a dedicated track car.

I actually had money down for an Atom, but the distributor could never get ADR for it. I would not buy a track car unless I can drive it on the road as I hate the idea of towing to the track. But Elfin (now part of Dave Richard's empire) is supposedly coming out with a $60k bare bone track car like the best of those from the UK. Very tempting. Wanna go halves?
