To share with the group, I give fake names to almost everyone anytime that someone asks my name. I also do it with a dead straight face. Unless it's a legal matter or work related issue with a superior. Names that I have used include: Secret Peter, Harvey Schmidtlab, Captain Artemis "Snake" Buckwald, Sweet Jones, Bueller, Mike Jones (when someone repeats it back to me I reply with "Who?" - props if you get this joke), Sergeant Slippy or basically anything that comes to mind off the cuff. For single guys, this gets huge points on a first date when you go out to dinner and they ask for your name when getting a table.

I guess I'll add my confession to the lot.

While my wife was away I spent a good 5 hours of my time de-foresting (fine, de-weeding, but the weeds were literally 5ft tall) the back "garden", not because I had any particular desire to improve the look of the house or be able to actually see the bushes we had planted...but rather, I did it to elicit sexual favours from the wife.

I thought of that, but I was with my wife and another couple - it would have certainly been frowned upon.

We did have the fried chicken/caviar dinner at Momofuku and it was stellar.

We also hit up a cocktail bar called Civil Liberties on Bloor St that was fantastic.
