I decided to swap in gloss black door handles from a donor car. I’m sure that to some it screams cheap, but I like the way it splits up the slab sides of the car and matches my wing and mirrors. Plus, it’s an option on the Porsche GT3 Touring, so it can’t be that crazy.

I think they look like 19's.

But keep in mind that for a no rub, need no work the max rolling diameter you can go with is about 25.6". That's what a 235/35 19 MPSS runs.
But for a matching diameter, 225/265 MPSS, both 25.2".

19's won't leave you with many size choices. Just keep that in mind.

Like the black accents with the Cashmere paint. Think it looks pretty good.

Oh...and I installed my Blackline tails yesterday. Pic in the Cosmetic section.

I have a post on here already about reverse lights...needing something brighter as I'm getting older and my eyes aren't what they were.

The Blacklines actually made the light output dimmer, but I figured it would as they are tinted.

Interesting idea; you could backlight those. Wrap two of the propeller sections (it actually is supposed to be a propeller, since BMW used to do a lot of airplane things) to get a complete black-out, and then leave the remaining ones translucent with a small LED backlight.

Those look really cool either way

It's ok, the good news is they've covered a buttload of repairs (current tally is around $8k) and my agreement states they have to pay me out still, so a $2500 check is on the way lol.
I see no problem with any of that.

It would be cool if there was a modified car warranty. It'd have to be ridiculously expensive, though, because launches...

Either way, now you have zero fear (not that you had any before, obviously) of taking the car to the next level

I actually read that the propeller thing was a case of mistaken association. They used a plane and the roundel in an ad about speed but never intended for it to represent a propeller. I still call it that, but make sure to mention I know it's not when I'm on BMW pages haha but yeah I tossed around some ideas on doing interesting things with it. gonna see how I like it against the signal green first

I can't wait to see how your car ends-up in a few months. You're doing some really unique things that I've never seen done with a 1'er, and I like unique (even if it's stance-boi lol).

Haha thanks! I'm excited to see it change again. I did this photo collage of the day I got the car to last week and I love where it's gone but very excited to see where it goes. I have lots more plans for the car.

Ow, my eyes!

I opened this page, saw a black 135i 'vert, and then KER-CHOW, a glowing yellow 'vert appeared as soon as I touched the scroll wheel I still think THAT was a huge transformation...

It is as close to my 1er as budget allows but I just booked my eurotrip flights with my wife.
I also reserved a rental car at N-Rent at the Nurburgring. BMW 330ci E46 6MT.

Thanks, guys. I’ve had the performance side skirts sitting in my garage for a while, ready to be painted, but now I’m not sure I want to use them. Trying not to go overboard.

Maybe it's time for an all black grille?
