today I called my SA and he said

"Yes, I will definitely be able to get you one. Your production # is XXXXXXX. You are fifth on the list, but the first two are already in production. So there is only two ahead of you waiting.

I know this is a good sign..but does this mean I am for sure in??

Not sure I should celebrate yet???

Definitely not time to celebrate. I wouldn't even consider it safe and would continue to look elsewhere.

I agree 100%. I would suggest calling as many dealerships as possible-as soon as possible.

5th on the list? Watchout...like others said, keep looking!

So that you put things into perspective: I'm #3 on the list (currently first in line) and my car gets to me next month, whereas #'s 1 and 2 got their cars months ago. If this dealer you speak of just had their first 2 allocations hit production, by when do you think they'll be delivering car #5?

hey all.... i gotta put a shout out for my man JasonCSU... he is one of the 12 predrive members and had been on a list for months.. got the call from his dealer and suddenly they won't honor the previously agree upon ED MSRP.... they refunded his 'non refundable deposit'.... sleazeballs.. probably looking for over msrp from a sucker.. if they ask for 5k over then it will be an 8k swing if they get lucky and find a buyer....

Hey everyone. I wanted to introduce myself and say thanks to all the 1Addicts who have been passing along info about the car. I've been lurking here for months, but no more. I got an email today from my CA saying that my car will be built in Oct.

I put a deposit down in Feb at a local dealer who assured me in writing that the car will be sold at MSRP. I was #3 on the list - missed being #2 by one day! My CA emailed my on 6/7 and 6/16 to let me know that the 2 people before me got their production numbers. After that, silence. My CA couldn't get any info out of BMWNA regarding future allocations so I was beginning to get worried. I discussed and even started to look for a CPO M3 as a backup.

The 1st customer's 1M arrived at the dealership 2 weeks ago and I got a chance to see it up close and in person. I really wanted to get one even more badly. I decided to wait it out with my dealer rather than try to find one elsewhere. It paid off.

Now, it's time to clear out my garage to make sure it never sees snow...

If you truly have a production # then you're good as gold.

Wait, what? That's unbelievable! Was there a signed purchase agreement or anything signed? I would be so beyond pissed. I think we should seriously consider compiling a list of all these dealers that have made this purchasing process such a poor experience and sticky it in the dealer review section. Hell, that Pacific BMW thread should be sticked in the dealer review thread.

Hey congrats, twisted! Good for you.

I too have a deposit placed and a contract for MSRP. (My CA has been excellent in the process). Received an email this morning from the general sales manager that they would be selling the car at "'market price' which could be MSRP or more" (his words). Responded that I have a deposit placed and contract, no answer from him yet.

I know...When we built out the car at the dealership, it added Option #609.
That option is Navigiation, BMW Assist w/enhanced BT & USB.

Maybe I'm mistaken. But it sure looks like it's on it.

It seems the closer to the end of production it gets, the crazier the dealers are getting. Even people with signed deals are getting bumped. Is anybody safe?

Black 1M available at Rusnak BMW

Just got back from Rusnak BMW and they have a Black 1M fully loaded hanging up in their upstairs! Not sure of the mark up, but I know their last markup was ~10k. Either way, I figured I'd let you guys know it's there! Contact Justin Chien there if you decide to go see it and tell him Tony sent you.

I got an email from them as well the other day stating that they were getting that car in. They told me they were asking $15k over, so I didn't even bother talking to them further.

You may want to double check, as it may be included with convenience, which cannot be purchased w/o premium.

Jeez. I know they got away with it on their last white 1M. People are willing to pay it so dealers are doing it unfortunately. I'd probably take it if it didn't have a markup. I can talk to my source there. My best friends since I was 6, his brother works there and maybe he can get a lower markup for some of you. I'll see what I can do!

Please keep us posted. If it didn't have a markup I'd definitely take it off their hands .
