Nice buy! I love the 5 double-spoke style of wheel on the 1'er, like what's on your new-to-you car and the ever-wonderful Style 313 wheel.

Congrats on the purchase, and welcome to rehab (not)!
Hahaha, I've only owned one non-6MT in the last 14 years - a W211 E55 AMG and it lasted 2 months. I'm as diehard a 3 pedal guy as they come.

I was still hunting for a 6MT but this car was an absolute steal and I couldn't say no. Seeing as 100% of my driving is on city roads or crawling on the highway, I figured maybe I'd give my left leg a breather. The M3 is the dedicated chariot to handle the smiles per gallon duties.

The wheels ain't bad that's for sure! I can never do 313 or 269 again. They just crack way too easily Thinking of some Hartge Classics though...

And thanks! I'm going to do my best to leave this one stock having owned a fully FBO-and-everything-short-of-bigger-turbos 335i in the past. This needs to be a nice lil daily and that's it. Famous last words... I know.
congrats my guy she's absolutely beautiful

....so what will be the first mod? >

I would like to drive a 135 one day

- new windshield (CarMax paid for it)
- new headlights and control modules, due to water ingress (CarMax warranty, dealer installed)
- Phillips daylight balanced bulbs
- new stock charge pipe (warranty, dealer)
- VRSF charge pipe (I installed)
- Darth Vader grills like 335is (I installed)
- debadge
- new side markers (I installed)
- new 3rd brake light (I installed)
- new side mirror covers painted gloss black (I installed)
- swapped out door handles for gloss black set (I installed)
- gloss black spoiler (I installed, but later removed)
- gloss black vinyl on stock spoiler (I installed)
- new water pump and thermostat (warranty, dealer)
- new OFHG (warranty, indy)
- fixed pinhole leak behind tail light and replaced comfort access module (water damage) with used one from eBay (I installed)
- Michelin AS/3+ tires (indy)
- replaced clutch stop with thicker version (I installed)
- MHD stage 1+ (I installed)
- installed Cheotech wireless charging mat in tray and wired USB through transmission tunnel (I installed)
- center armrest delete (I installed)
- steel performance pedal covers (I installed)
- M3 front arms, M3 front sway, Dinan camber plates (indy)
- Zimmerman disks with EBC yellow stuff pads (I installed)
- Motul 600 brake fluid (indy)
- oil change (indy)
- Bilstein B12 shocks/struts (indy)
- Whiteline poly rear subframe bushings and Dinan rear shock mounts (indy)
- Manzo rear toe arms (indy)
- alignment (indy)
- cabin filter (I installed)
- BMW all weather floor mats
Now that I'm just about finished, it's time to add to the above list!

- MFactory LSD with 3.46 ratio (indy)
- ZHP shift knob (I installed)
- G-Plus intercooler (indy)
- custom MHD tune from Wedge
- coded out some brake things, e-diff, front corner lamps, oversteer coefficients, etc.
- gloss black wrapped wheel center caps and removed M logos (tried to find separate gloss black caps, but none fit.)
- glasses holder handle swap (I installed)
- Megan Racing strut tower bar (I installed)
- M3 rear guide rods (indy)

I believe the only thing left on the list is the muffler mod and some new summer wheels/tires next summer, and then it's just maintenance from here on out...famous last words! If you can think of something I should add, let me know.

p.s. I'm at 47K miles. Oh yeah, I'm finally doing the CDV delete next week, too.

When I bought my 128 e88 msport, it had a dings on the passenger door, pass fender and the hood. It was a rare enough with the options and color combo that I bought it. With the BMWCCA 50th coming up down in SC, decided it was time for some correction work. Went to a local place called Dent Dominator here in Raleigh NC. They do fantastic work, can't even tell where the dings were. The car and I are both much happier now

I installed the Ultimate Clutch Pedal in my 128 today. Made a great improvement in clutch feel and paired with my Dinan SSK and CDV delete the car feels super pure.

Isn't that nice!?!
I love the UCP. And with a short throw lever, CDV, and thick stopper - every shift is a dream!

I spent like 2 hours working to get the UCP in. But it should probably take a confident professional about 1/2 hour.

Found it a stable mate that I need to go look at and maybe buy,

2008 Audi S8, high mile and from what I can gather on the cheap side, $9K. For a car that sold for $96,000 ll years ago; depreciation hurts real bad.
What has me sold is the aluminum body, no rust.

And insurance would kill me.
crap.

Start to finish it was about an hour. Everything is pretty straightforward and simple, it’s just that the work space is tight and positioning your body is awkward. Well worth the work though in my opinion.

I looked at the S8 about 5 years ago when they were still around the $25k mark. It was on my local Carmax lot and that's back when they left everything unlocked so I sat in it for about 30 minutes...dreaming. They are gorgeous and that V10 is amazing. Then reality set in. I just wasn't prepared for the repair costs, even if I was doing most of the work.

Drove over 700 miles this past weekend going down to the DC area to hang out with friends. The Wharf was a really nice area and enjoyed walking around and having dinner at La Vie and getting smores at the firepit back on the boardwalk area.

The 128i drives like a dream and the new sparkplugs are firing perfectly!

Quick wash and wax over the weekend.
Tried Meguiar's new Hybrid Ceramic spray wax.
Wasn't in the forecast, but it rained this morning. Beads just rolled off as I drove. So far, (one day in,) I'm impressed.

I was carpart shopping and it's really no different than the 135. Trans is about $900, engine $3500. Didn't check anything else. But from the used standpoint it didn't look too bad, so long as the engine holds up.
And from what I could find about problems, they seem pretty solid. More than the BMW.
But when insurance is more than the car payment, LOL.

Swapped in a rear view mirror with the garage door opener controls. Simple 5 minute job and instant benefit!

So last week I took the car in for an oil change and brakes and rotors. Oh yeah, had the Dinan DME flashed, too. As I looked at the garage floor, I saw oil stains that I hadn't notice before. Now, I have an OFHG leak. Uggg. I've only had this car for 6 months. Good thing I bought the Carmax warranty!

Yeah, that's a good one. My engine is actually still under an extended warranty, so I'm holding off on installing anything more in the engine bay that would be hard to take off, but I'll eventually do that. I also probably want to do the Ultimate Clutch Pedal.

Did you get one of those now famous "Bumper to Bumper" warranties (credit Doug DeMuro)? or those still a thing?

Not necessarily today but over the weekend:-fitted new waterpump & thermostat
-tried to fit new radiator but it didn't fit (was a supposed direct factory replacement)
-got (noticeable) boost leak
-fixed boost leak
I swear that after fixing the boost leak she is more responsive and sounds a bit throatier. Maybe it has been leaking for a while but not enough to trigger the ecu fault until now.
