Thanks for giving me a bit attention. Just a few questions more. When I go to Live DATA>Boost it shows 0.00 psi or when I'm accelerating it goes up but never goes below 0.00 I can see few strange lines also on Live data log list these ---> Last edited by RimasRS; 05-14-2012 at 02:13 PM.. |

Switched the tune from Stg1 v4.01 Sport ST to Stg1 v4.01 Sport LT and it runs beautifully! v4.01 is buttery smooth!

When I first got the car back, was still in Stage1 Aggressive. First thing I did was go top off my tank and switch maps to Stage2 Aggressive (just had catless downpipes installed). I gotta say that the car breathes a lot better, but I honestly feel like I've lost a bit of power down low. Maybe I'm just imagining it?
Either way...after new plugs, swapped coil pack positions, added catless downpipes, and switched maps from Stg1 Aggressive to Stg2 Aggressive, I'm no longer misfiring. The car feels good, just not quite as quick on the throttle as it did with Stg1 Aggressive.

Come to think of it, I only had one Stage2 map for Aggressive on the Cobb AP. I remember seeing those choices for Stage1 and tried both out. You're definitely right, it feels more like a linear throttle map.
I'll check it out when I get off work today. Thanks for reminding me!

Honestly, there really isn't a big difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2. It only is more apparent when you go to Stage 2+FMIC where the difference is VERY noticeable.

I'm currently running the 4.01 Beta Stage 2+. Sometimes I notice when I'm starting from a stop and just driving normally, if I creep up to 3k RPM in second gear (maybe 20-30% throttle, I'll have to check next time) and then floor it, it just sounds loud but doesn't go anywhere. Feels like it has no power. But as soon as I'll shift into 3rd gear from 2nd in that scenario, all the power is there and wham, getting thrown into the back of my seat. However, if I just floor it immediately as I come into second without letting it creep up in the RPMs a bit first (not being light on the gas at all), then there's absolutely no issue with power delivery. Is this an issue with turbo setups, some sort of consequence of the way I'm driving it? Or is it possibly a problem with the Cobb 4.01 Beta? I also noticed the same thing when I was running the 4.01 stage 1.

I cleaned my valves at around 46K miles and it made a huge difference in the hesitation I was feeling. It was very noticeable. I have not tried the 4.01 beta maps yet so I cant say for sure if that could be your problem or not.

If the car has over 35k miles and the intake valves have never been cleaned from carbon build up, I would highly recommend having that done. The carbon build up can lead to symptoms like a sluggishly responding car and even misfires.

That will take anywhere from 3 to 5 hours to clean your valves and expect to pay anywhere from $400-$800 depending on where you have it done.
I recently had this done at 57k miles and it is a whole new car after the cleaning. |

While I think the valve cleaning, changing plugs, and general maintenance things may help, I have been on various Cobb maps myself with new plugs/coils and I have to agree that the beta 4.01 maps are choppy as were the 3.01 maps. The only map that was smooth without what I would call a hicup and then acceleration was 2.03 which felt by far the best and seemed more powerful, but also gave me limp modes if ran to hard for too long. I'm not sure what the issue with the hiccup is, but It's is disappointing.

So I searched for an answer but couldn't find it. Guess I'll give asking here a shot.
When logging my car, I'm curious if having some cylinder timing correction is common. During hard pulls I'm seeing 2-3 degrees of cylinder timing correction in individual cylinders at times. Does this mean there are 4-6 knock counts in that specific cylinder? The main "CAE" timing correction reads 0 the whole time, so I'm not sure which I should be looking at. Any help is appreciated, thanks! |

I sent my logs to Cobb also thinking 2-3 degrees of timing correction might be a problem. They responded that it was normal and everything was healthy.
