Designed and 3D printed a bracket for my oil catch can. I will mount it to the stock airbox post on the manifold. All will be plumbed with AN lines, just waiting on one more fitting.

Wheels arrived after a 7 month wait. I sill have to get the trans and front subframe back in, but they do clear the brakes and suspension. WORK and a few distributors told me these would not fit. When I made a CAD model to check, I doubted their recommendations and bought the wheels anyway.

I replaced the very worn bronze pivot pin with the stock nylon pin. New clip, titanium magnetic drain plug, throwout bearing, and fresh fluid. Ready to get the trans back in.

Really enjoy seeing the updates on your car.

So I got a 3D printer recently and have started to learn how to use it. Also gives me an even bigger appreciation for all the stuff people create. I am trying to learn fusion 360 via YouTube training videos and it’s been really slow for me, but hopefully I’ll get there one day.

For the parts under the engine bay like the catch can bracket, what material do you use?

Thanks! 3D printers are great and immensely helpful. I'm an engineer so I use CAD and the 3D printer quite often for work. Good luck with yours, it's a lot to learn, but there are so many free resources out there now.

I used a high-temp ABS material for the bracket. Speaking of which..

The manual trans is in and the clutch is bled. The shifter assembly and linkage likely isn't arriving until January

Next will be getting the front subframe back in and getting tires on the new wheels.

Subframe is back in. A little concerned about front tire fitment in the wheel well. Went with 275/35 front and 315/30 rear. Toyo R888Rs, should be here in a few weeks, the 315s were hard to find.

Well, tires arrived sooner than I thought. I think there is no way the 275/35 is going to fit nicely up front without rubbing in the wheel well. Guess I'll mount them anyway and see how much cutting will need done..

Hoping to have the tires mounted this week and get the engine fired up. Driveshaft is still out of the car as I wait for the shift linkage to ship..

Oh, and the lady got me a pretty sweet gift this year!

I filled and bled the coolant system.
Filled with oil and primed the turbos
Pulled the washer fluid reservoir and ditched the headlight washer hoses.
Coded out the auto-trans and a few other things
She fired right up! Didn't see any leaks and everything seemed to sound alright, gave her a few revs. Good amount of smoke from the turbo blankets, but that's normal. Video on my IG.

Now to figure out how I want to organize the WG solenoids and vacuum canisters.

Removed all of the TPMS sensors and control unit. Then coded out the TPMS and coded in the FTM.

I also moved the WG solenoids to the engine cover. I bought the relocation bracket for the vacuum canisters to under the TB.

1M/M3 front control arms. Still waiting on the passenger side wishbone, but that should wrap up the suspension upgrades...for now..I think..
