Can't imagine you'll have fuel issues with the GCL at the power levels you're looking at. I admit I was looking at the shotgun hpfp the other day. Kinda concerned about longevity when shooting over 500 on twins though. A lot of torque down low kills engines. One of the big reasons I'm waiting, really want to see the upcoming ACF bottom mount Borg Warner EFR single turbo kit.

A single turbo bottom mount sounds like the best option for these cars, and that ACF version with a BW turbo matched to your power levels seems to be best case scenario. |

PR LPFP came in yesterday. Did you use a heat gun? Any other parts you'd recommend on hand before throwing it in?

The kit comes with little butt end connectors to connect to the fuel pump wires, but I thought that was crazy so I soldered it, electrical taped and shrink wrapped over that. For reference my tank was completely empty when I did this and it helped a lot, also theres no way I would solder next to even a tiny amount of gas and the vapors associated with it, for obvious reasons. On top of that though it made the entire process wayyyy easier having absolutely no gas in the tank. Honestly the hardest part for me was disconnecting the fuel lines from the stock pump. Take your time and make sure not to break anything. Don't try to force it, if the lines wont come off at first, push them back towards/ onto the pump, then re-press the tabs/ release buttons all the way and try again.

Came out great I think. Will be reinstalling to the tank tomorrow morning early. The hardest part was disconnecting the stock pump. Will definitely be easier if I ever need to do it again to add the stage 3/4 kit though. The included fuel lock ring tool worked well. That thing really is cranked on there. Huge thumbs up to Precision Raceworks, they thought of every detail! Excellent kit, or at least so far. I'll add some pictures of the rebuilt bucket whenever I get to my desktop.

Did a couple logs yesterday. Nice to see LPFP pressures back in the black! Went from around 45-50 at peak boost/tq to 70-75! Much better. HPFP pressures look better too. Not that it was failing, but just choked by the LP pump.
Happy to see that. Put 7gal E85 with E85 BEF and will see how this pump kicks before turning up the boost again.

Photo update with the Stage 2 bucket conversion.
Bucket drilled and custom mounts attach with nylon push-locks Collector and top hat fit nicely Zip ties to hold return lines. Wiring seemed secure without soldering. I have a soldering iron, but just didn't seem necessary. Hopefully I won't be wrong at a horrible time down the road. Couple tabs on the bottom of the top hat had to be cut off. Used a hack saw and sanded smooth with a dremel. Wasn't necessary to get it perfect, but, yknow. Gotta be careful not to cut through that central bump though! View from the top without the hat on. Collector is really nice. Plenty of space for a second Walbro 450. Venturi sits flushed to the bottom with a couple zip ties. 8 holes total to the bucket.

Still running the TC Kline coilovers? How do you like them for everyday drivability? I've read on some forums that their setup is great, but is rather noisy?
Strongly considering running their setup with a 300 front/600 rear spring rate. Love your car man |

What about height? I’m not really looking for lowering all that much, maybe a half inch at most. Would you happen to have any input on how much it would lower the car on its highest setting? Thanks again |

I help you out. You can get really close if not same height as stock with the Tc's. At least I could with my tc klines.

TCK made a very functional coil kit, probably the least you can spend for one. Is it the nicest kit out there? No. But it works. I'm running over twice the spring rate that this car came with from the factory and the ride is softer if you can believe it. Well, softer isn't quite accurate, but the stock suspension was HARSH. Again, if you take nothing away from this and you want to give TCK a shot, I'd get SA fronts and DA rears. And, I'd probably get the 1M/M3 rear shock and convert the lower camber link as well while I was at it. Turner makes a special lower RSM for this, or you can look into M lower link options. I really hate how the non-M Koni damper attaches to the lower link.

So. I know I've been pretty quiet here. Been pretty busy with being functionally a slave thanks to how medical education works. I'm still here, still have my car, and actually have a few big updates coming!
First, I have several pictures that I'm cleaning up now of my Racingbrake 2pc rotor install. The kit is amazing and I'm really excited to share it. I'll also be sharing real kit weight savings against 100k mile OE BMW rotors. Next, I have a huge box of parts going in for the rear suspension to prepare for the power upgrade the car is seeing soon... 3.08 LSD, upgraded axles, M3 lower camber links with digressive rear dampers, and... new rear spring rates. All coupled with solid aluminium RSFBs this should help keep things tame back there when spooled up and trying to put down 500-600whp on this short chassis. So get ready, I know I am!

Minor updates...
*Aero* Lightweight Titanauspuffanlagen front lip ordered an on its way from Germany! Looks great on the OE 1M front bumper, and better yet, is virtually indestructible and will do well to protect it. *Turbos/Engine* Shipping notification from Hydra Performance out of Lebanon. Custom drilled and ported N53 head with matching turbofolds and TD04HL turbos on their way. Will be hooking this up using customized high flow inlets from a hybrid cone/ram box, and outlets routed topside (read: straight path) to a 7.5" HD Race FMIC. Will also be having the crank drilled and pinned to prevent it slipping once I up the rev limit to 7800rpm. *Body* Looking into color options and debating simply painting the 1M panels Jet Black vs having the car coated in AutoFlex. Might look nice in Hockenheim Silver.

I'm trying to decide what coilovers to buy right now, and this thread has given me some great info. Thank you. I'm curious what rear dampers you're switching to? Also do you know if the TCK dampers are digressive or linear? Cheers |
