Is there a definitive answer on how to configure your car after upgrading the base stereo?
I've heard lots of different opinions, but most seem to say that you add the $676 ID to your Vehicle Order, the effect being a removed EQ and a reduced volume on the leads. |

$676 is definitely the correct answer, but I was not able to code my 2010's base stereo via the CAN bus. It needed to be done via an ICOM adapter on the MOST bus. See here:

It's adjustable in both the horizontal and the vertical plane so you adjust it to where you want it .... but it wouldn't be any higher than most dash mounted screens.
I believe the photo is of an install in a pickup truck. 😉 I have fitted one to my Lotus Exige.
