AC's design team is made up of a two eight year old kids.
There is no other explanation. "TURBO".

Better informed than WSJ (no surprise there!).
The only things he didn't quite get right was assuming iDrive and premium audio was not an option just because his tester didn't have them. I was expecting better than 25 mpg on highway. What are folks seeing in their 'broken in' cars?

I'll just stick with the saying, "Different strokes for different folks."
I really think AC is doing this for marketing strategy. A lot of people may not like what they just did to the 1M, but in a country like UAE (esp Dubai) where you could see a lot of exotic cars, people actually dig that styling. The ACS 1M parts may not sell like pancakes here in the the USA, but in another country it surely will. I don't care and don't have a problem people driving around with the AC 1M. They can do whatever the want. It's their money that they spend and not mine. Whatever rocks their boat... Who gets laughed at at the end??? |

LoLz. The best addition is the hood vents. They actually look like they belong on a ford tempo that a highschool kid modified in shop class. Lots of lols all around

99% of the people that have posted absolutely hate what ACS has done to the car. That being said it seems the 1Addicts crowd prefers subtle changes vs. this crazy Knight Rider/Pep Boys stuff. I forget the other companies that have already hacked a few 1M's (they are posted on this board but I don't feel like searching) and they went and put 20's and did some hot import nights crap to the interiors with chrome grills and stickers on the exterior.
My point: mad props to HPA for keeping function first. It seems a top priority to most folks on here.

Hood Vents look like Auto Zone accessories. And I'm just not into that "Hella Flush", "Donk", "Kicks", or "DUBS" 20 inch wheel styling either, it deserves 18 inch or even 19 inch lightweight wheels. I am surprised this car does not have played out "Lambo doors" and passe Audi style LED light strips like they sell at AutoZone. The car looks like a:
Unique Autosports 1M "Will Castro Edition" Whip. I do like the 400HP though!! |
