Definitely will be curious to hear your feedback on this.
Correct. F8x M front knuckles and a caliper adapter to use the E82 Brembo on E46M3 CSL rotors (345x28) and F8x knuckle and E82 hub.

Guys, if I don’t log in for longer than a day, my wife has likely killed me and put me in the basement freezer. I wouldn’t blame her at this point.
This looks cool. First of that trim option I've seen. Look forward to completed pics.

F8X knuckles? I hadn't seen anything hear about anything trying that yet, but might've missed it. Also, is the adapter custom?

It is, yes.

If you want to run M front suspension you have to use either F8x or E9xM3 knuckles. The F8x knuckle is very close in geometry to the E82 knuckle and is fairly easy to adapt to the E82 Brembo calipers.

Plus, easy to swap a F8x BBK on later, but BBKs are tricky with the E82 rear axle. Hence the choice to go with the E46CSL rotors to maintain bias.

Shouldn't matter. It might be a pain in the ass to get the 2 side torx screws out if you have the paddles but as long as you have the 2 steering wheel controls, its a direct swap for the MSport trim. I did it in literally 10 minutes in my work parking lot.

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...86#32300430403

Edit:
Torqued the bushing rods and SS brake lines into the calipers.

Tested the amazon DISA valve and it actuates incorrectly... valve is in the opposite state in every way. It’s an OEM part tho for sure. I wonder if they’re scrap from Mahle. I’ll just bite the bullet and get them from FCP... if I’m keeping the car forever they’re essentially half off!... right??

I’ve got too many damn projects going on at once.

Turbos...
Unfortunately either my turbo seals have gone or the turbos themselves are starting to fail...
Burnt oil smell and a lot of smoke on deceleration while driving...
My shop confirmed it...
Luckily I have Route 66 aftermarket warranty...
Hopefully they come through and pay for some new turbos...
Vargas was on the list of replacement turbos, didn't hear much about pure's...
Will update as things roll along, praying for my warranty to come through and bless me!!!

I did it guys... I finally bit the bullet with some FBO action and a walnut blast. Also went with MHD stage 2 and a dyno run. She makes 260rwkw on a pretty warm day here in Sydney (30°C). I haven't got the log yet but I'll ask for a copy tomorrow... I was too excited to get in and drive haha.

- ER DP's
- VRSF CP
- OSK DCI
- TurboSmart BOV

Big thanks to Adam and the boys over at Advan Performance for all the work done.

Nice mate. I'm hoping to get mine done after I get my downpipes installed.

Got my shifter and e-brake boots from Redline Goods. Got orange stitching to match my wrapped trim pieces. I think I'm going to paint them this color over the summer, I can't think of another color I'd like. I've had them orange for two years now and it doesn't get old.

good to know.. it makes me want the Coral Red that everyone has even less and makes me appreciate my baseball glove looking interior even more

Get em off FCP for sure... that's a part you want warrantied if it goes bad and eventually it will. Lifetime warranty ftw it's best going with OEM DISAs

I stick my phone into the E82 cup holder and it fits perfectly.. a nice stand for map navigation

I just bought 4 Pirelli p-zero run flats. Will need to get an alignment done too as my lack of alignment just ate through my bridgestones.

Hit 201,000 miles.

It's been raining a lot lately and I was jumping on the highway earlier this week, and I spun all the way through second and into third before the DSC freaked out and threw the full Christmas tree at me. Fun times...

Looked at my 1er up on my mechanic's hoist. Last week sump gasket & main seals replaced. An surprise coolant leak has necessitated a pipe fitting to be sent up from Sydney, and we are still waiting. I haven't driven my car in 7 days

Although I don’t love the feel of Alcantara, I needed a new shift boot to fit my golf ball shifter, so I went ahead and got the performance shifter and brake boots. Since I don’t have to touch it much, I’m cool with it:

Fixed it for ya. What/where did you get the cup holder disc bottoms? I put felt discs in mine to keep travel cups from rattling/squeaking.

Thanks. I got those cup holder thingies on Amazon, IIRC. One of them is a little small for the cup holder, but it still works.
