Fancy BMW Valve Stem Caps Test Install
I know most of you have been unable to sleep, waiting with baited breath to see how those new bmw valve stem caps look on the 313s..but luckily, your wait is over. Plus, I was playing with and trying to figure out how to use the camera on my new phone, so here's 4 shots taken at night mind you of the stem caps tested out on a rim in my garage.
I love 'em and think they look great for my color car and really suit the rim well, too. Looks like they were made for each other and just a lil hint of class and sparkle to finish off the rims as opposed to the dingy stock caps. Enjoy! $15 well spent. |

I couldn't wait another day! Stem caps look cool. The 3rd pic is probably the best one - shows them pretty clearly.

Wants to go faster than I can let it right now! Even in the lower mid range it wants to pull. Amazing power. Looks spectacular. One minor scratch on the lower door maybe 1/4 in probably from driving back. Those pictures are prior to Fridays full detailing session (PDC did a crap wax job). Clear film got put on today as well as my alcantara wheel and shadow line grilles. More pictures coming. You're going to love the car Worra!

CF grills and diffuser on LMB
Installed the grills a couple weeks ago. I received the diffuser this week, and just installed it today. Here are a few pics (sorry the car is not clean in any of the photos).
The grills went in pretty easy with the exception of bloody knuckles while de-installing the stock grills. I also had to scrounge around the garage to for a tool to help me unclip the fastener at the 7oclock (for the driver side grill) position. Any pointed tool (i used long hex key) with a 45 degree bend 1 inch from the end should work. The grills were purchased from a vendor in the forum vendor section and were shipped from Taiwan. The diffuser was purchased from a us based web page (not sure if it is against forum rules to say who). There are a few threads on this diffuser warning about the tabs being too thick. I used a dremel tool and grinded down all the tabs to proper size in about 10 minutes. What may be of interest to anyone with a PE is the fitment around exhaust pipes is very good (plenty of clearance and it is even on both sides). 140144 Driver side CF, other side stock 141959 Down view in high light ... this angle and lighting shows the least "dark" view of the CF 142013 View with strong sunlight from the west, also showing the least "dark" appearance of the CF. Normally the CF is much more subdued, but I think these photos may help someone decide between CF and shadow line. 004 Worst angle for PE exhaust and stock diffuser ... really seems to stick out from this angle. 009 Installed, clearance around PE is good (and even). 010 New exhaust view.

Diffuser looks good!
Got my 1600 mile oil change today at dealer (I was 300 miles out of town when I hit 1200 miles last month, so had to wait). Probably overly cautious but thought it would be a good idea to do it anyways. While at dealer at 7:30 a.m. today waiting for my car, I searched in vain for their new Ti Silver 135is coupe listed on their website (with no picture yet). I walked every inch of their huge lot (largest dealer in NorCal) and could not find the car. I know Greg will be crushed, as this was his unicorn and he desperately wanted pictures. It may have been in the 60 stall service garage getting its PDI done -- or maybe it was sold yesterday, don't know. Sorry, Greg -- we'll find you one yet! I did find a new Lemans Blue 135is convertible on the lot, but it was parked close to two other cars so the pic I got is not worth posting... and there are much cleaner looking Lemans Blue coupes in this thread already. EDIT: Also, they had a new 435i demo on the lot in Estoril Blue. I walked right by it first time thinking it was a 6 series coupe. Longer, wider and lower than the old 3. Nice looking, but.... fully loaded MSRP was $62.5K!! Last edited by Kouper; 10-05-2013 at 09:10 PM.. |

United in Roswell. I live up in Cumming off exit 13 on 400. We should get a meetup going soon with some other 1'ers. I'd love to see the carbon black in person for sure.

Haven't seen a 4-series in person yet, though I'm sure LA will be crawling with them soon, and in pics and specs, it looks like a boat. And when I priced one out a few months ago optioning it out the same as my car, ya, it was $63k. I just don't see how that car is $18k better than ours. I'm sure it handles a little better, but same engine in bigger, heavier car, less power than IS, I'll keep my 135is and $18k to spend on tire valve stem caps and floor mats. I think you're right, it really does just seem like a new iteration of the 6-series, at least in terms of size and general looks. Also looks like a turd without the m-sport front. Looks like a catfish with downs. Last edited by gregthegr8; 10-06-2013 at 11:45 AM.. |

The diffuser looks excellent! I'm waiting on the OEM carbon fiber spoiler to get put on sometime next week before I look into that. I don't want too much CF on the car but from the looks for yours it's pretty much perfect.

Clean LMB 135is w/ CF grills and diffuser
Sorry to keep posting pics, but my previous shots were taken immediately after putting parts on the unwashed car and in strange lighting situations. Here are a couple shots of the car cleaned up (and where the main focus of the picture is NOT the newly added parts).

The 4yr maintenance ending on the 3-series + the last year for the 1-series coupe + the perks of the "is" = new car

And speaking of people posting too many pics, here are a couple of crappy quality cell phone pics of my car out and about today as I was running errands. In the one at the mall, THAT is how you park an IS...if you have OCD and don't trust the crappy drivers in LA. hehe.
