Wheels:
Sparco Pista 17x8 et40 F&R no spacers Tires: Kumho Ecsta XS 245/40/17 F&R Suspension: Stock Notes: No rubbing or clearance issues with stock suspension, but will definitely need some camber up front with lowered suspension. I'm hoping M3 control arms and alignment pin removal will do the trick. Being this is a track setup, I should just probably spring for camber plates anyway.

thanks a bunch. get some camber plates and maybe downsize your tires if you want no rubbing at all!

WTF? I was thinking the exact opposite, that looks about as poor of a fitment as you can get. Style-wise I know some people like them to stick out, but that can't possibly be a good fitment as far as rubbing.

Not sure first post looking to replace stock RFT / Potenzas with some new wheels and tires, stock set already wearing 12K in and not happy with that... I'll keep the stock wheels for winter tire set-up...
Seems like everyone likes Tire Rack, best just to call or email them? |

Wheels: APEX ARC-8 Hyper Black
Front: 18x8.5 Spacer: none Rear: 18 x 9.5 Spacer: none Tires: Front Hankook v12 245/35/18 Rear Hankook v12 275/35/18 Suspension/Fender Mods/Camber: Stock 135 suspension with Vorshlag camber plates Notes: Just finished installing the camber plates (thanks to SpeedyB - over in the 3 series forum and his impressive array of tools and patience getting the install done). Alignment tomorrow(thursday). While jacked up, the driver side rear was rubbing against the inside of the wheel well, but it seemed to go away after putting the car back on the ground. I've not really driven it yet, but it seems like there's plenty of clearance all around. Will update after the alignment a bit of driving. The full negative camber adjustment made turning the steering wheel noticeable easier than stock, not sure it's the alignment being out of whack or not, we'll see tomorrow. btw, these are ridiculously wider than stock. can't wait to autox/hpde them. Question....hopefully easy. Just love the Dunlop Star Specs. Information overload in the last 7 pages!
Arriving Tuesday: 2010 with Stock BMW 261 wheels that come on the 135i with M-sport (7.5/8.5) 225/40/18 fronts? 235/40/18 rears? Any concerns? I know the rears are slightly thinner, but the Star Spec is a great tire that will easily out perform the wider stock rears |

the wheels themselves are nice, but that is the worst fitment I've seen on a 1 series or bmw. I hope that fitment was not recommended to you by a vendor. As it's basically non functional. That is just dangerous, as it's not even stretched, it's just OUT. If you drove a car like that on the street, the fender would cut through the tire after a few thousand miles or less, until it completely fails. |

No Muhammaz.. ET was way too little. You can fit 255 easily to your stock rims, like I did now !
Michelin Pilot Sport 3, and they are awesome ! I recommend to all ! |
