Even if you keep thinking about the blues, if you like the coral red, I think you'd end up liking having the coral red interior more than the black interior more than the amount you might like the blue exterior over the white. And I know you're not going all superman and getting blue with red interior. =P My 2 cents. Just whether you want that pop and boldness to be the exterior or interior. Also, the black interior sure does get hot. |

Had Montego been an option, it would have been a much more difficult decision. Love the brighter shade.

Hahaha but on a serious note, I've been very conservative and honestly a little bland in my color choices until my Imola red M3 which I absolutely loved. If I could get that color again I wouldn't even have to think about it. So basically my only concern is getting a color that's bland again. And my jeep is white as well.... |

AW with Coral is a great color combo (ok, I may be slightly biased, I do have it on the E88). Looking at the data , I show 24 of 499 "is" were AW/CR, 11 were MT
If you're looking for something more rare, maybe Sapphire/coral (only 2 made so far out of 24 Sapphire Black cars) Or, if you want really rare, reverse interior to exterior and go with Vermillion/Black (also 2 made, but there were only 9 red "is" total). The most common exterior color for the "is" is LeMans (110 of 499) and the most popular interior is black with blue stitching (230 of 499). I believe BP might be posting some updated exterior/interior color charts today. |

I'm hoping that at the end of the day there are at most 10-15 135is cars with space and coral. I'd love to know if I'm the only one with my exact spec of minimal options with 6mt: leather and heated seats.

If I go the same route as you then I would basically be the same car. I'm on the fence about the heated seats; HK and 6mt for sure though. They would be very close. Did anyone opt for the carbon fiber splitter? Deep sea blue is becoming more and more enticing as well |

Oh ok that definitely makes sense. So there are about 500 IS models total? Where are you finding this info? The most common IS is Le Mans blue with exclusive blue?
That interior would be so much better if the blue was in the doors like the CR is. If only I could get imola, estoril, or Laguna seca.... |

I guess Blue Water isn't available anymore, but it is available on other cars. Pics don't do it justice, but this one comes close: http://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showpo...3&postcount=10 Quote:

Not sure if BMW individual is still avail on the 1 series (betting not), but BMW will paint them pretty much any color you want, provided you are willing to write a big enough check! |

I like that I'm 1 of 6 then according to Bama's new charts, but probably cause I cheaped out and got the leatherette! Ha! I came very close to ordering blue water on my previous 135 and have seen it in person on several 128s, but no 135s, which I think may skew my take on it. It's a very pretty color, looks very European to me, but looks a little soft to me if that makes sense. Doesn't look mean or aggressive. Again, I've only seen in person on 128s. That one 135is in blue water we saw definitely looked interesting though and better than the titanium silver (which I used to have). I also know it has tortured mb135is since it was posted. =P Also, Bama, I don't think individual was ever available on the 1-series. |

Also, Ian - I remember someone posting 3 BMW blues next to each other for a photoshoot, so was imperial blue vs lemans blue vs estoril blue. Not sure if this will help or hurt your decision:

Looks like blue water is very close to silver stone. Very pretty on that 135 although I probably agree with the caption.
I love the lemans blue but to sure I want the most popular color out there. It almost takes away from it even though its only like 150 total. Apparently I have the same taste in colors as everyone else, AW and LBM. Leaning more and more towards a combination like yours Mb. |

Just remember, you're talking about the "most popular color" on them, but there are so few of these cars to begin with. I think most of us may never even see a wild 135is out on the road in our everyday lives.
Just know you can't make a WRONG decision, and I'd also check to see how many spots are still available, unless you guys already secured that allocation for you and it's just a matter of figuring out the details. I'll get my popcorn ready to watch your colors change throughout the day - AW, Lemans, Deep Sea, Space Gray. If you don't decide soon, you get Cashmere Silver with Taupe, I'm sorry! Those are the rules. |

I think I would love Le Mans if I didn't know estoril was out there haha. Vermillion is much more like a burgundy I think. imola is basically the estoril blue of the reds if that makes sense. Never seen a 135 in it though. My dealership is mostly 3's and 5's and not much more. I wish I could see a few in person... That would make it a lot easier.

An estoril Blue 335i just pulled up, on a side note.... |

Bama, Good stuff. I will post a link back from the "how many 135is thread"
"Oh, never mind" Roseanne Roseannadanna The Mineral Grey became quite popular. Must be all us folks copying greg the trend setter. Last edited by bp-plickner; 07-19-2013 at 12:44 PM.. |

Not even in the same galaxy. I wish the 1 came in what I consider an actual red color. Imola will be and is one of the greatest BMW colors ever offered. And Imola II (which is what I had) wasn't bad, either.
BW is not a mean/aggressive color, but on a 135i or a 135is, it accentuated its lines and purposeful design excellently. It's got more blue in it than Silverstone, which is also an awesome color.
