As I understand it, the performance brake kit for 128i included 135i front calipers and 328i rear calipers, specifically due to the parking brake issue. But then again, I read it on the internet so it must be true ;-)
I think the 135i calipers and rotors will bolt right up, but the ebrake shoe doesn’t reach, right? |

Apologies if I sound clueless, as I'm trying to learn more and more about fitment before I turn up the boost and upgrade my setup eventually - but if this mod were completed, we'd be able to run an ET58 wheel, that would effectively be the same as an ET48 wheel stock? Since 9.5" is pretty standard for after market, would we be able to bump up to a 10" width or a bit wider to fit some wider tires? Gotta control the horses in the back.

MN, you are kinda backwards on your offset number example, but you do have the general principal correct. This will allow you to move your wheel in away from the fenders if that's what you need.
You would not need this mod with an et58 wheel. This mod makes an et45 wheel more like an et55 wheel. The issue is barely any aftermarket wheels come in offsets higher than 45.

A little help?
Yo. I've read through this multiple times and I just can't wrap my head around the flip flopping from one vehicle rotor to the next. I'm looking to buy the kit off ecs linked below.
https://www.ecstuning.com/b-assemble...33416760058kt/ However, i would like to get different brake rotors, I was leaning towards EBC rotors. Could someone that has a little more knowledge of this please get back to me with what rotor from ebc would fit my e82 135i with these shorter hubs? Shoot me a pm or reply here. Looking for slotted non drilled. |

These are usually rare and more pricey. Also I do not think EBC made slotted or blank rotors in the e90 or 130i spec for the caliper to keep the 322x24 @Suprgnat just above you made use of a Zimmerman blank for the 130i that I listed a part number of here some where.

You can always just use the caliper and rear rotor from a E9x 335 or 328. The calipers are dirt cheap.

Maybe not directly for the 1 series.
But I`ve done this on my E91 LCI. Hi Guys, I`ve visited this site several times to find a solution for my e9x LCI. I have OEM styling 359 ZCP Competition wheels with 10J ET 25 in the rear. On my previous car E91 Pre LCI I had these wheels fitted with rolled fenders lowered on KW. This setup did not have any rubbing. I have driven this car for 7 years and after these years I`ve switched to a E91 LCI 2011. I kept my wheels. Ready to mount them on the LCI because it has also M package. Most of you know that the LCI has 8 mm less space on the rear. I knew It would be tight but lets go! At first started with rolling my fenders and installed the wheels. The rear wheel was mounted with a 255-30-19 Continental tire. This one has a little stretch. I don’t like that anymore but with that setup it still has slight rubbing. I got well irritated by rubbing so what can I do??? I was going to search on RealOEM to find a solution. I found out that everything between my old e91 320D and my new e91 320D is the same when we talk about : trailing arm, wishbones, control arms, rear axle. The only thing different is the wheel carrier and the Drive Flange Hub E91 320D LCI 01 Wheel carrier, rear left 1 33326783653 01 Wheel carrier, rear right 1 33326783654 01 Drive flange hub 2 33416752381 E91 320D Pre lci 01 Wheel carrier, rear left 1 33326774807 01 Wheel carrier, rear right 1 33326774808 01 Drive flange hub 2 33416760058 On Further comparison I found out that the rear disk sizes are the same but the part numbers a little bit different. I thought maybe I have to find the wheel carries and hub in total from the junk yard and see where It gets me. I found them on the local junk yard. When I went over there the guy on the desk told me. We don`t have them anymore. I`m sorry. I told him what I want and he was searching his computer and told me. Well the numbers where you are looking for are also from the e87 120D vehicle. I did not found that bus I asked him. Do you have a wheel carrier e91 320D LCI (same as on my car ) And a e87 LCI 11-2007 120D wheel carrier for me and can I borrow your caliper (very big junk yard).. Measuring these items I found out that in total the wheel carrier including the hub is 8 mm narrower than the e91 LCI. While the distance between the flange to the mounting point of the brake caliper is identical. I was starting to feel happy… will this be my solution? So I took the wheel carrier including hub from the e87 LCI 11/2007 to my home. I did not had a serial number of the E87 but in real oem I found a original number. Nice one in this case was that I also found that the rear brake disk has an identical number as my e91 LCI. This would mean that I can put over my hand brake pads and brake disk. Today the items are installed and thank god. It fits all nicely and most important I`ve created 8 mm more clearance ….. I need to put some tires on my wheels before I can try but I`m hoping it will work. With a 255-30-19 continental tire I will work now I`m sure but I want to fit a 265-30-19 tire so I have less stress. Numbers of the e97 LCI hub 11/2007 that will give 8 mm more clearance on a e91 LCI. 01 Wheel carrier, rear left 1 33326774809 01 Wheel carrier, rear right 1 33326774810 01 Drive flange hub 2 33416760056 The brake disk is identical 02 Brake disc, ventilated 300X20 2 34216855007 So when you want to get more clearance in your E91 LCI? Go for e87 wheel carriers!! I will update this when I`ve mounted the wheels. original hub with rolled fenders. and 15 mm spacer. Wheel hub Rear after installing Wheel hubs E87 LCI with rolled fenders with 15 mm spacer Drove the setup like this. This setup 255-30-19 continental tire slight rubbing. 10J ET 25 New setup hopefully no rubbing with 265 tire |

Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems the least euro option and most cost effective option for us in North America is the F10 Rear Rotor 330x20 - 34216775287. Just need a washer to fit and a plus is bigger rotors too

Firstly thanks to andrey_gta for starting this thread/adventure and all who have contributed along the way!
I think I may have found a possible alternative blank rotor for the 135i available in the US. Thanks to brembo/zimmermann for their rotor drawings I was able to come up with something that seems to make sense at least initially. Given that a 330mm x 20mm seems to work (F10 rotor, e90post thread); I've come across a 330x20 rotor from the 2012 335i that is 330x20x66mm (11mm shorter than stock). It also doesn't seem to have that flange/shoulder that the F10 rotor has (that required modification to fit with the dust shield). Its BMW part no. 3421686489, Zimmermann part no. 150290420. Stock 135i rear: Hub face to rotor/caliper centerline: 59mm 2012 335i Rear Hub face to rotor/caliper centerline: 50mm I really haven't had time to dig into this too much as of yet, but figured I'd throw it out there for those who might know a bit more about it than me (and check if I'm missing something). If it seems like it would be viable I'd be willing to give it a shot. FCP link to the rotor ($59/piece): https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...99#description

What's the benefit of this over just getting a 10mm adjustment on the offset for custom wheels? Not sure if any driving dynamics would come into play on this car or not.
I can get custom monoblock forged 18 or 19's for $1500 direct from a manufacturer cut in any spec I want, and a ton of designs. |

Thanks, not too worried about the cost because I'm getting new wheels anyways. Was primarily concerned about any significant changes in geometry from the hub itself being moved. been dealing with Teslas for a long time now and those cars and the electronics are ridiculously sensitive. Even a something like a variation in tire size will cause the car to nerf power after a launch or something ridiculous.

Yep, it makes more sense to get wheels that fit than to need to do this mod. I was one of the first to make this mod, but I had bought wheels that can't be replaced and are not available in better offsets.

Maybe a dumb question because I've never had replaced wheel bearings myself.
Since my car only has 50k kms (31k miles) and my wheel bearings are in good condition, can I simply remove my current e82 hub and install the e90 hub in its place without replacing the wheel bearing? |
