Only the best for the stig! Eager to hear how they work, my eibach springs were only a temporary solution. I'm either going to pair them with better aftermarket shocks, or entirely replace them with coil overs in the future.

Half completed as of right now. Finishing my coffee and heading back to work on it.

With a car this well rounded and reliable, it would be a crime not to DD it.

I just wait until I have the time to do it so I never have to address it again. Nothing frustrates me more than a product failing to do its job.

I feel pretty confident they will be good. My experience with TCK on my E36 and on other E46s was that there was no better street option for my needs.

I'm vacillating between Ohlins, PSS10 (is there an M option?), Koni/Swift, Koni/BMWPS and TCK single. I only want to do it once, too, and even the ride height will probably only be set once in solutions with that option. Decisions, decisions.

Those all look like pretty good options. Bilstein makes another kit that is quite nice for our cars as well I think...

My project got delayed by a stripped bolt.

How much of a drop with that set compared to your MSport suspension? Do you really need the camber plates, or could you do without?

I don't expect it to be more than 1/2"-1" or so. The car is pretty close to ideal ride height stock.

You could probably reuse the stock strut tops, but the camber plates give you both greater adjustability(duh) and shock tower reinforcement. Spring compressors are also pure evil.

As long as it's a bolt and not the knuckle in to which it threads...

I keep leaning towards the Ohlins only because I have them on my R1100RSL and hit a pot hole last October with enough violence to snap off my right-hand hard bag and bend BOTH of my rims. It didn't drop me and both rims held air (barely), but I had about $2800 worth of damage to an 18 year old bike. The BMW telelever/paralever system is good, but the Ohlins dampers are transformative. I just have no experience with them in a car, and know no one else that has either.

No, but it is a bolt that is part of a link inside of a bushing. $100 of seized bolt fun.

The PSS10 was the only kit that caught my eye as I do want the adjustability. What were you thinking? Pro Kit, PSS?

I think it was the B14 kit, but I don't think it is adjustable. Definitely get the PSS10 over the PSS9, there were some adjuster issues IIRC.

Double adjustable M3 kit like mine is ~$3000 including camber plates. I also got the M3 conversion for the rear as well.

Single adjustable kit is ~$2100 including camber plates.

Nothing is going to have camber plates built in. They might be included in the prices, but they won't be part of the strut.

Completed instal, zero pictures.

I still need to dial it in with the compression and rebound, but this is light years ahead of where the car was stock even now. Flat through the corners and soaks up the bumps so much better.
