Curae, your car looks amazing - why have you not started a project log?!

I have to agree. There looks to be a lot more 1m blood in the m3/m4 than e9x..... Just saying....
So many parts delays the thread would never go anywhere. It's already been off the road 3 months ill make one when its actually finished I think

It might not even be in stock. I ordered the OEM FRONT bumper 2 months ago and it has yet to arrive but it's not shipping lag. I heard from them and said it had to be special ordered. So I'm guessing they don't keep them stocked it has to be fabricated.
Did you get the front fenders too? If not how are you going to custom fabricate those?

The windows are the same size but obviously have to be removed from one then reinstalled in the other. It definitely cost more but I like the additional piece of mind of having a complete 1piece steel rear quarter

sorry for thread jack op

Conveniently left out the amg though I see. Seems like all 135/1M owners have something to prove or like justify themselves for buying a 1 series. Kinda like Golf R drivers. Anyway this thread is too serious for me cya boiz.

The point isn't to dismiss what u drive but rather to invalidate your point. You honestly think you can go on a 1M / 135i forum and say the 1M isn't an M car and be taken seriously when you don't own a 1 series? U say we have something to prove them you mention your AMg like that will give u credit? No offense but many of us have several cars and own 1series because we enjoy them not because we cannot afford something else. You are coming off more like you have something to prove.

not a shape issue. It's interesting that every body shop I contacted knew that those rear small windows get "destroyed" and need to be replaced. It's a small thing to note but its more parts in the end for a complete OEM conversion.

I was also quoted about 2 months to do the rear quarter panel conversion where I was quoted a month or so to flare out the 135i quarter panel.

Hmm.. I thought that sounded strange... I know of one or 2 people here in Oz that had an issue called "Seam Creak" - basically a metallic creaking noise coming from the rear left of the car when setting off...

I have the same problem and it's about to be fixed. The fix involves removing the left rear window - along with the interior trim etc...

Well your car is OEM fit and finish so that sounds odd. I hope that the two aren't related. Otherwise that means that BMW may have attempted M conversions themselves
