No changes of late other than the KW DDC/ECU coilovers are in build and should be here mid April at this stage, control app has been uploaded to my ipod touch http://www.kw-suspensions.co.uk/uk/kw_ddc.php
....... other than that have been clocking up some miles. Anyways over the weekend as we had some semi nice weather (the sun was shining) I thought I would get the car out of the garage and take a few pics in some good light |

Are you with the stock headlights or some aftermarket?
Interior of your car is just perfect (despite the fact that I personally don't like and don't have nav/idrive). The wheel color is spot on and CF rear spoiler looks great with AW (not this good with other colors). |

Car is looking great! A couple of questions:
1. Is the Piano trim (center console, center controls) standard in the UK? Wonder if that trim can be had through BMW, looks a lot more upscale than what we have here! 2. The "///M" stickers on the brakes - remind us where you sourced these? Cheers

I fitted some Mtec H8 bulbs.....Not white like the LEDs but much better than the yellow glow, they do the job and not expensive. Quote:
centre console/dash was painted by a mate same with the steering wheel centre to match, it does add a touch of class to the otherwise satin finish as for the M vinyl caliper logos drop an email to Eamonn@graphfixonline.co.uk he will sort you out front and rear and will send to anywhere, very good quality..... Thanks Jez I think the VO will pull off hyper black very nicely, a mate sorted it for me through a wheel specialist. Last edited by Aussie_in_London; 02-28-2012 at 02:00 PM.. |

Aussie
I am picking up my AW 1M this Saturday and the suspense is getting to me now!! Pics of your car settled a few nerves as I paid for the car via bank transfer today and that made me question my decion for a bit!! I have been on the forum looking at all sorts since I found what I think may be the last unregistered car a couple of weeks ago. Been considering Paintguard , Grills etc and then you post that. Awesome looking and now I just want Saturday to arrive. I have seen you and Jezzer having a bit of banter on here but note your comments re the upgrades. Is he able to get discount for forum members or a personal mate of yours? |

Thanks mate, it is somewhat 'basic' in comparison to some of the machines on here ......
The cosmos blue white is what I fitted, there is not really a lot of difference between them and the super white, well not much to the eye. |

Awesome! I'll probably give the super whites a try since they're so cheap.
I'm so friggen jealous of your piano black interior n the wheel treatment - how much did that cost you? I was thinking about going darker on my rims too... but already curbed a rim minorly so I'm a bit hesitant on that. The M badge on calipers soooo sexy too drool Its all good! Don't think it's basic at all imo, I'm loving all the mods that you're doing to your car, veryyyyy tasteful n classy. The first minor noob mod I did to my 1m was putting on CF mirror caps, kinda regret doing that coz it feels too fake lol. Anyway, I'm wondering what you use to keep your tail pipes so sparkly shiny clean! Mine's all dirty n hazy looking now |

Yeah give the super white a go, they are cheap and will do the job nicely, but be prepaired it wont be a match to the LED strip but much better than the yellow glow.
As for the interior, a friend of mine sorted out my paint job while it was in having the wheels done, he was a bit worried abit about pulling apart a new car lol It does give the interior a nice finish but a little more care needed but then its a weekend only car so not the daily drive and wear and tear that goes with it... Get all your kerbing out of the way in the early stages then look at changing colour while having them repaired As for the tail pipes, from the very beginning I used a couple of coats of Chemical Guys jetseal 109 to put a protective layer that helps all the crap just wash off, but if you have a build up of carbon I say use some silvo to remove first then some protection like the jetseal. Aus - I have been thinking about LUX but will probably follow suit with the bulbs you got. Any issues re: error codes or fitting though?
Finally got around to the calliper decals on the weekend. I was right, no need to take the wheels off. Hand fits through nicely. |

Nice re the calliper decals, if you fit through the spokes easy enough your hands are the perfect size to remove the driver light covers which is a tight fit and had me removing the 2 plastic canisters sitting behind to make enough room to get my hands in lol |
