Is the windshield/tire warranty something you can add on after you take delivery? I opted not to get it, but now I'm hearing horror stories and getting scared.

I am personally hoping with the 17" wheels on the 128i (and a half-inch more rubber between the wheels and road), we will have less issues with bent wheels and blown tires. But of the course the roads up here suck, so who knows.

And this weekend I accompanied a friend test driving Subarus. The dealership was on a road that was similar and the sales guy told us that earlier that day, someone had a blow-out on a test drive. Eek! I'm scared! amy! |

Kendall, you might skim this to recalibrate your expectations:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...070103059.html In one sense, your CA may be better able to give you a firm (if disappointing) trade-in value on your SUV, as dealers and resellers are focusing on these model types right now...and some are shunning them altogether. Jack |

 seriously, think about, these things are dying on dealer lots, and any that are getting traded are coming in for far lower money than before. I can get a nice 06 or 07 suv with less than 20k miles for around $13-$15k extremely nicely equipped, leather, nav, moonroof, multi-cd etc. |

I had a 04 Explorer Eddie Bower Edition with over 60k on it and about $1,500 in damage to the front and I was given $11k on trade-in. Now I did pay MSRP for the car, any discounts they gave me on my new BMW was just attached to the trade in. They originally offered me 9k for my trade. |

Usually people have a $500-1000 deductible on their policies that they have to pay up before making a claim.

How much does the chrome exterior trim cost? I'm talking about the thin strip that goes around the windows in the picture below.
The reason why I'm asking you is because when I asked my dealer, they said it would be over $2000 because they'd have to order the whole window and assembly with it which I think is a load of BS... Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you! |

1. How long does it TYPICALLY take for priority one cars to reach from Port to dealership?
2. Does VPC do business on weekends? I'm just a tad impatient.
