Yeah, N54 and N55 have different part numbered bars.
UUC and Hotchkis didn't seem to think they could be that different when I broached the subject. |

Tell me about it. I just did it tonight with a 1500 dollar diffuser. o_0
The guys were actually great (albeit slow) sports about it.

the company would be stupid not to give you money back as they are about to start getting a lot of bad press from you, it would be in their best interests to make you happy as a customer.
If they don't resolve the issue start making a fuss about it and recommending people away from their product until the play fair. you should never be unsatisfied with a product, and they shouldn't have recommended the product without proper research to see if it worked for your car. I have an M3 front bar in, and have had no problems with it, so that might be something to consider for yourself, at least you get a BMW part that's designed for the chassis. (shared chassis components and underpinnings at least) sorry you're having such a bad time with the bars, but their are brighter days ahead. spring is on it's way after all!!! |

Yeah, I'll probably go with the E93 M3 front sway and control arms at some point. Once this wound of having to re-do the bar yet again has healed. |

I was going to ask why he didnt mention the M3 (28mm?) bar. But that may not fit the N55 suspension either. I am really curious as to whats so different between the two.
Nope the 3D Design quad diffuser. Doesn't fit my bastuck exhaust.

Gotcha. I hope it works out. I may go the E93 route myself. I haven't heard any complaints.
Unfortunately, my exhaust was built around three german companies diffusers (bastuck, reiger, and kerscher). All but the bastuck version are horrendous. No carbon for me in the near future. The company eventually hooked me up though. They shipped me a new bastuck diffuser from germany, and threw in some koni yellow shocks and some wheel accessories so I'm happy. I think after seeing your diffuser, I will paint mine gloss black. Plain plastic back there looks just.....plain.

I installed the USB to serial cable to the Procede unit today, and routed it into the glovebox to make map / firmware updates easier.
Luckily for us N55 people, there's a hole readily available in the DME box that comes out behind the glovebox. Just have to get the USB end to it and pull it through from the inside. Have to temporarily drop the glovebox to get the cable into it though. |

Haha, that thing is old school. I believe it's six or so years old. Roughly 110 in computer years.
