Quick Shine Products
What do you think of Griot's Speed Shine for a quick shine after washing when you don't have time to wax? Does is wash off easily so as not to create a residue? I drive a BMW 1M. Thanks.

its a good product. but if you need something more like a wax or sealant not like a detail spray I would consider Aquartz Reload it can last up to 3 monthts.
Aquartz Reload so you would need to have a clean surface dry it then use the reload light mist and buff off. |

My windshield is LOADED with tiny imprefections. Like.... a thousand of them from the previous owner being on the highway in ATL a lot. I seen the Diamonite glass package/kit for a machine. Is there a better product you would recomend? THanks.

windshields today are very soft, I'm pretty sure by design for crashes etc. I have seen pitted windshields and really have not found anything to fix it but replacing it.
Porsche glass for example is bad after 10k miles. |

Phil,
I have what looks to be rusty stains on my driver's side mirror. It's obviously from the inner workings of the housing itself rusting and dripping out onto the mirror. I tried using stone's invisible glass cleaner and simple green but it wouldn't come off. I have a terrible pic of it for you, but you can get the idea. I can get a better picture of it if you'd like. (Sorry for any neck injuries that occur as a result of my tilted picture.) Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

If that is an OEM mirror, it is the mirror failing. the crystals or whatever is inside is defective and needs to be replaced. my drivers side mirror did the same thing and bmw replaced it under warranty.

hey Phil,
I was wondering how do you polish with hand applicator pads. I tried twice and the results were not promising. I used clean microfiber pads and tried 3m rubbing compound and meguirs polish. I also did a wash and clay bar before the polishing step too. Btw my car is black. Thanks. |

I don't know if this has been talked about (probably has) but I have gloss black powedercoated wheels and I have a hard time keeping them shiney. What products should I use on them to bring back the shine (and keep it)? Also, what would the process be to use those products? I've heard a lot of people using the P21S wheel cleaner and gel and a polish, but I haven't really heard anyone specifically talking about bringing back/keeping the shine of gloss black powdercoated wheels. Thanks in advance!

Hello DealerDomain,
I have a question. So lately I have been having this hazy/film building up on the windshield on the interior., do you have any suggestions on how I can circumvent this problem from occurring. It is quite annoying at night because its all hazy from the inside of the car. Thanks |

The Wenol Blue is probably my favorite, but it's a pretty slim margin. I primarily use it to deal with spot corrections after track days, combined with a clay bar, they do a pretty good job. Then I use a sealant to protect the wheel.

Hello,
I am looking to buy a DA polisher, and am almost set on buying the Griots since I use a lot of there products. However, I am not sure what products to buy with it. My car is black and I do wash it properly. The problem is that my car sits in the parking lot outside for 4 days at a time when I go to work. The car currently has minor water spots and swirls which aren't bad, but of course show up in the sunlight easily being that it is black. I plan on buying a foam gun to complete my washing process also. I was hoping you could recommend a good foaming soap for the foam gun and products to go along with the DA polisher since my car sits outside a lot and I find the Griots wax doesn't last that long. Thanks!!! |
