It was a great day at the 'Ring today.I had a blast. Such awesome cars and people we have in our diverse group of addicts. We are even expanding our euro addicts by breaking into the e90 forum guys. I think next time we need to include more of the e90 and M-Flight crew.
The Manhart Ràcing team was so great to us. They opened their new shop to us like old friends. So many cool and tastey cars they had on display! It ws a car lover's paradise for an aftertoon. I'll post some photos on Monday. Tomorrow is another day at the,'Ring for us car junkies!!

Like always it was a nice trip! Had lots of fun and finally I lost my “Ringinity” Rick can you post a picture of me putting my sicker on.
How about some time September next ring visit? Just need to know 1-3 weeks ahead of time so I can take off from work.

Yea... I just got home 30 minutes ago - with my two "spare" tires in my trunk! Not fun, waking up to a FLAT TIRE! Got a screw in my brand new PS3. I think it can be patched tough. Special thanks to you guys for another fun weekend - especially Wade(!) for loaning me one of his winter tires to "limp back home" at 130 mph! It was pure hell having to drive no faster than 80 kph on my space saver donut. That thing has got to go! It was so nice being able to drive "normal" speeds coming back home to Bayern. I think the best comment this weekend was when John's buddy with the 3er said: "man your forum is so much better/funner"! Welcome to 1addicts!

The handling felt pretty good. Much better than that narrow space saver did! Really at like 100 kph that back end was all wiggly. Not with your snow tire Wade. Once I have to brake medium force from 130 mph to 60 mph while going around a slight right hand bend... the car felt really twitchy then. But all was good. For the most part having one 225 and one 255 on the rears felt fine as long as you were corning hard or braking really hard. I think I might sell my donut and get a 17" full size spare. I might buy that winter steel wheel they have for the M3 and buy an El Cheapo tire for such emergencies. It really sucks driving at only 80 kph. And I was almost 500 kms from my haus. I guess we were lucky no one got a flat while on Stelvio. It took me 1:45 min to travel from the hotel to the 'Ring this morning. It was only 114km drive! lol Well... there was traffic... but still. It bit! Photos... First I noticed this... (!) BMW assist came... big brother pc... screw in tire... the screw head popped off.

I ran 9:25 today......With better tires, pads and a tune I think I could be in the high 8s
Either way, I'm Glad we all got lucky or weren't doing anything beyond our capabilities or car's abilities.......Just saw this posted on the M-Flight Facebook page...... http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...83400225_n.jpg This is what making a mistake on the Nurburgring looks like! $32,000 damage to my car, 3700 euros damage to track, "totaled" by USAA. USAA was amazing by the way...they paid for EVERYTHING, no questions asked (about $50,000 total) and my rates didn't go up. And, no, I wasn't racing anyone, I didn't have a passenger, traffic was minimal, it was my 11th lap, only my ego was injured and I do have a little bit of track training (M driving school)...so yes, it can happen to you too.

I ran a 9:40 on Winter tires, my ears hurt after that lap lol.
JB4 this week, new springs in a couple, and sport tires back on, hoping to be mid 8 soon enough.

I had one 8:xx lap. I looked at my clock when I passed the bridge at 6:31 and passed the gantry at 6:39. Wish I would have recorded that lap. The ones that were timed, 9:08 and 9:15.
This weekend was amazing. Huge thanks to everyone for coming out. It was good to meet some of new people. Can't wait for the next get together.

Yes it was one of my few good (better said excellent) decisions to buy a 135 and to create an account to the 1addicts forum. Couple of my friends asks me how it was; I didn’t know what to say and how to explain it… I just said you have to drive it and see for your self. We should do like a get together once a month or every two months at least. My plan is going to the ring next month again, will check my work schedule and post something.

Has anyone contacted Manhart for a quote yet? I want that hood and would also be interested in the FMIC and a suspension install.
