Thanks bud.

I have the NLS option though I think we had to disable it with the PI install as it was causing some issues. Justin or Marty do you remember what we did with the jumper settings? Looks like we need to re initiate the NLS to get the bog sorted. With the post shift bog sorted I'll be able to break into 19sec territory with the really fast guys.

I also sent a revised bin to Justin, targeting richer AFR and slight lower timing targets, so you could target higher boost with Justin on the JB4 side, to get the best from your hybrids+ TFT inlets.

Thanks David, the flashes from you have all been fantastic, combined with the tuning from Justin and the wise old head from Peter. Justin is close to getting the fuel trims, AFRs and throttle closeures under control.

With luck we will find the max power with the current hardware setup on my car some time next week, but the torque is just stupid with my V8 M3 rear end and the auto (10,500 dyno newtons on the Advan unit). Cant keep it on the dyno so some ingenuity is required to tie it down.

I imagine Greg will raise the bar even further with his next hardware changes and fettling from you and Justin. Gives Marty and I something to chase again, although Marty's trans is cactus.

That torque is off the chart literally!

Dying to get the new parts in the country and installed. Hoping it will raise the bar but we really don't know till its in.

Next up to investigate is that head...

you can't run nls and pi together off the jb4 as they are both triggered by the same pin, you would have to trigger the pi kit by a hob's switch and then reconnect the nls to the jb4.

The problem with that is if you switch the jb4 off the pi kit will still be running so not an ideal solution for trouble shooting.

Look it can be done but I would wait for the new jb4 with integrated Pi controller.

Thanks Marty,

May have to explore Hobb switch option as next event is in 4 weeks time and JB4 PI integration ETA is unknown at this stage. Want to run a good time at the end of November, thereafter next 1000m event will be a year later.

One correction, hybrids + VTT silicone inlets (currently) with TFT to come soon.

A datalog of Mike's car making around 420rwkW, I'm confident it would make a bit more power with its current state of tune/hardware if we didn't have to tie it down so aggressively to prevent the car from launching off the dyno.

Here is my tft run from the drags

Gearbox wasn't happy couldn't handle the big power but you can see whats going on.

The boost spikes are from the transmission not holding up

IATs are crazy at the end of the run. (160F).
wgdc is pretty low for 23 psi, thanks to TFT inlets.
for higher boost, I'd lower timing targets in the bin, and slight richer AFRs.

have you tried with the latest bin I sent to Justin, with higher calculated torque than in this log?

Hey David,

I had planned to re-flash Marty's DME yesterday morning, but he was too busy shopping for 1M's.
