Great... Glad I bought mine 2 months ago. Screw product evolution.

Dang there's a V3 now for the N55 as well. I'll have to read up on the differences. Seems like it would be better to try to sell it outright than do the trade in program.

There's no real upgrade in terms of maps. Unless you plan on using the gauge capability during driving, which most dont, there's no reason to sell it. Nothing tuning wise has changed.

True and honestly I don't think it'd be practical to have a device mounted in your vehicle with the obd2 cable being hooked up the entire time, seems like there's no pretty way to do that but I may be wrong. I still think V2's are effective, their trade in value is crap, you can easily sell the v2 for double the value they are giving you and then buy the v3 if one chooses. If one is afraid of losing the power while waiting on their new unit, they can go ahead and purchase the v3, wait until it arrives, unmarry the v2 and setup the v3, then sell the v2 for around 500-600. That's better than the trade in value. I will wait to see the practicality of those who actually have it and if it is actually worth it.

Happens all the time to me at work. A driver kicks the datalogger cable and it partially disconnects for a split second. They bring the car back and I spend an hour trying to reverse engineer nothing |

Very good post, I feel it's just a way to make more money , I love Cobb and their products but with the current technology of iPhones, iPads, tablets, etc, this is just something for those techies who like upgraded things, yet the functionality is mainly the same. The closest I get to this is using my iPhone and my escort radar with escort live, that to me is useful . Driving with an 800 piece if equipment mounted all the time is pointless just to data log. The you'd disconnect anyways when you are parked to store it and god knows how much wear and tear that'll have in the mini USB flimsy connector. I just see a lot if problems with this, but well see.

any new maps cobb?
I already have catless downpipes, charge pipe and i'm looking to install fmic.. will cobb be planning on new maps or I have to keep running stage 2? is it worthless to upgrade the fmic until cobb comes with a map for all the goodies added?

It's not useless to upgrade a OEM fmic without a tune. You just won't get the full potential of the upgraded fmic until you get a tune.
