^ The GTS is heavy. Apparently the GTS-R's that they are coming out with are lighter. I think I read from Gill that TR will have them in May. They are cheap too.
At this price could this be a forged lightweight wheel? With the roads around here, that is pretty important. Hmm - That really is a good looking wheel for the money, I just wonder about its strength. Anyone with first hand info?

Nope. The GTS-R's are < 18 lbs. for 18's. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6452 I think this is their first lightweight wheel. |

^ and as you have found out from Gill they are low pressure cast. There may be an issue, if they do turn out to be as light as they are thinking, with strength. If you track your car or drive harsh road conditions regularly those wheels may not be the best choice. If you are not hard on your wheels, don't track it, and want the staggered, that is a really nice looking and light wheel for the money.

Jim new_one, is there any way of confirming with Carlos once and for all his intentions for us? I just want some information so I can make my decision. I would still love to have the VS7 in 18s, but I can't sit around waiting for info forever. I mean for f sakes, we are the customers here!

WAY - I have sent him an email with a list of all of our current questions. Including asking for a timeframe that we can count on and he can deliver on. I will post up the response as soon as I have it.

For the GB we are looking at a VS7 GB price of $2250 not including rubber.

If the offset is going to be different between the front and rear, thus making it impossible to rotate the wheels/tires, why not produce wheels that we know will fit? ie.. 18x8 fronts & 18x9 rears. IMO the only reason to produce a square setup is for tire rotation purposes, otherwise, it just becomes a hassle trying to get 18x8.5s to fit up front.

^ many want square to open up tire selection and for better handling balance (loose the understeer). It's not just about rotating tires. The widest rubber possible is the balance everyone is trying to find to keep the power to the road at the rears.

This started out with me just collecting names of folks to gauge interest. Carlos will likely take over soon to manage the next step. With these group buys it always comes down to who is sort of interested, and who is putting money down.
