Still expecting in July?
Given the position of the ship, do you still expect to get your car in July?

The Falstaff is still moving at about 100 nautical miles per hour, but did slow down to 97 nmph in the last 12 hours... JB

And actually, based on it's position, the Falstaff seems to be going a little slow. The Green Dale, which left port less then 2 days ahead of the Falstaff is already near the Panama Canal. Unless the Falstaff had an extra stop that the Green Dale didn't, then it seems like the Falstaff should be further along then it is. Dan |

Falstaff closing in on the carribean....
Well the Falstaff is still cruising at about 100 nautical miles every 6 hours. closing in on the caribbean.
Still looking like she will arrive Panama Canal area on the 20th with passage on the morning of the 21st. Hope it is not too early morning. Sure would like to capture some pics of her going through the locks. http://www.pbase.com/image/97203342 JB

Man I thought you guys would be further along then this. According to the Bremerhaven schedule the Falstaff should have left port about a day behind the Green Dale. However it now appears that it's about 4 days behind. Maybe the Falstaff had an extra stop in Europe somewhere and that's what held it up. (looks like they're going about the same pace across the Atlantic)

Off topic but do you like the Cooper S? I was thinking about possibly getting a convertible one as a second car. They're actually fairly inexpensive. The only problem is the nearest Mini dealer to me is like 200 miles away.

Love the Mini!! Had a 2003 cooper and now a 2005 cooper S. Great car, lots of fun. I drove the convertible and was considering it before the 1. The style is being changed for the 09 model on the convertible to look more like the 07 and 08 coupes. I think they will be better. JB

The Falstaff has made it past Puerto Rico and is full steam ahead for the Canal. Ok, don't really know if it is full steam ahead but picking up some speed anyway:smile:

Anybody have any information on the Phoenix Leader? It's an NYK Line ship that supposedly left Bremerhaven on 18 May 08 for the Left Coast. Can't find squat anywhere.

According to VessleTracker.com it's currently at another port in Germany just West of Bremerhaven. It must have had to make another stop for some other brand of German vehicle.
