Does anyone have a picture of crimson w/ a black roof? Or can someone do a photoshop of it? I am thinking of getting it painted sapphire black and getting the mirrors done as well.... or what about the roof rails in blk, a blk shark fin and blk mirrors?

Had my CR 123d coupe now for 2 months/6000km - with Lemon leather interior, suits our hot Brisbane Australia climate. Air Cond works real well, the light interior is not marking to my surprise, in fact it is the black trims showing light-colored scuff marks! I'm finding it keeps looking sharp even when a bit dusty, the paintwork already looks top quality and wipes clean very easily, altho the alloy wheels gather a lot of brake dust. I have polished it with Maguires wet look products, altho the attached pics were before I did this. The whole car is simply magnificent in terms of driveability and handling - I am an "enthusiastic" driver, but not a track/race driver, the diesel power available from only 1200rpm always impresses, the 50 mpg is just a bonus. I debated the M pack, also 18" wheels, happy to report that the standard ride/handling is brilliant, and the 17" wheels with Goodyear NCT run-flats give good comfort and all the stickability you need for quick twisty roads. I love the way you can drive "sensibly" in the suburbs, and crack along in the country roads. BMW really have this model right, I can't imagine anyone being disappointed, especially for the price.

Thanks. I bought a kit off ebay ($15 usd), it is just a vinyl overlay. If you get up close to them (less than 2 feet) you are able to see an overlap line.

nice car man!.... Are you running the 255/35 & 225/40 set up? Do you have any more pics of that tire set up on those wheels? (side profile etc)... I am really thinking of powder coating mine wheels after seeing your pics, the red lug caps are a nice touch too....

I'm not sure if you noticed from pics but wheel\tire setup I posted above is sitting on 18-10mm spacers and as awesome as it looks I had to make changes that first day. Over sized rubbers I'm running could be only spaced out with 10-5mm lol funny that you noticed red bolts. My spacers came with shiny chrome like finish long bolts and I sprayed heads to take that shine off but as soon as I saw it on the car I hated it, back to black Edited, Here ya go!!

Sorry....could you please clarify, as I am pondering installing spacers as well. You tried 10mm all around (front and rear) and had to drop to 5mm because of the slightly larger tires? Is that right? |

Yeah, 18mm was rubbing with 225 on the front as well as 10mm when used with 255 rear so I decided to move the 10mm to the front and get 5mm to space out the rear. This is taking it to the limits, everything more would rub without rolling.

I have Yokohama S drives 215 Front and 245 Rear, but they are wider than the stock runflats even though they state the same size as stock. So 10mm up front is what I was expecting but I am kind of surprised by only 5mm in the rear. How bad was the rub with 10mm on the rears? |

You've gotta do SOMETHING about that front plate! How about putting it in a bracket and mounting that with some 3M? I definitely understand the desire not to drill, but your feng shui is seriously messed up this way.
