Brisbane BMW charged me $528 for installation and coding. So it still came out $600 cheaper than their best price and $1500 cheaper than their initial quote. Worth every cent though... - Harlequin |

new to the forum guys, been reading this thread and it's been really helpful.
Just got a quote from South Yarra - $1,060 for the parts and $600 for the 3 hour installation, so that's $1,660 all up. But I really wouldn't mind saving ~$500 by driving 1 hour down to Mornington: http://www.bmwccv.com.au/forums/showthread.php?t=867 anyone know whether the deal is still on and if so, for how long? |

That's about the best price that a few people have paid.

Bringing an old post back!
Can anyone recommend a place to install in Melbourne? Got a quote for the kit + corner mouldings from BM Mini for about $600 delivered, seems reasonable. |

DIY, or otherwise try Mornington BMW. Bit of a drive but they have done these installs before and will prevent any mishaps.
Theres plenty of DIY install guides floating around, took me about a day going slow and taking care, overall its an easy install, hardest is just removing/replacing the car trim. Requires a code too for the plug and play kit.

It cost me about ~$550 (maybe a bit more now with lower AUD) to import from overseas, plus ~$400 install at a dealer (or DIY if you can code and don't mind pulling the car apart yourself)
