Compared to what real numbers? A mustang dyno? Dynojet? ALL DYNOS READ DIFFERENT. THE ONLY CARS YOU CAN COMPARE EACHOTHER TO ARE CARS DYNO'D ON THE EXACT SAME DYNO OR RACE DOWN A QUARTER MILE TRACK Heres a good question. If my car made 267 whp on the dyno at baseline and pushed to 400 whp are you saying no wat my car made 133 additional whp? I could care less if my car makes 300 or 400 whp. The point is I made an additional 133whp.. I have seen people drive from NJ and further to get Tuned to see if theres really that much power to be made over a current tune or cobb and all of them have been surprised to see the truth behind the gains. All I can say is haters are going to hate. Also raced a 135i with a jb4 and basically all my mods plus downpipes and he couldnt crack 13's. And same with a brand new lexus isf.

It depends on the car/mods and e85. Im in the middle of setting up a tuning day with reduced rates if you are interested. There is a thread in the New England region

And 230whp would mean the dyno you used was way overloaded. Factori n 10-15% drivetrain loss. Factory car no mods should put down 260whp down. Theres no way 300 crank horsepower car losses 70 hp with drivetrain loss.

2008 135i Cobb OTS E30 map Helix FMIC Raceland downpipes Stock everything else including stock runflats Now you see why almost everybody thought those numbers were bs until you took it to the strip? Forget the ET which is actually pretty good for your mods, but look at how much speed each car picks up and ask yourself... |

I love this thread now more than ever. Months and months after this came about, every time it's bumped, more and more haters show up. I guess cutting edge stuff will always be surprising and doubted. Can't blame people I guess, but the numbers are true and continue to be backed up in multiple ways on multiple threads (seek em' out yourselves). 415whp, 440wtq w an E85 tune and an intake. Truth. Doubt away.

I'm sorry but the ET doesn't match up to the rwhp. If you had a 1.9 60' then that little 1er should have blasted past the 115 mark on the ET. Something just doesn't add up.....if you're happy with the numbers it's "putting" down then that is what matters. But we would like to see a faster ET or a friendly race against another 1er putting down the same 390-400 rwhp from the "junk" (as you say) old JB4 or Cobb tune.
But we also know you don't want to street race so maybe it could be done at the local drag strip then. By the way........http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...ght=1%2F4+mile JB4 only. |

Point well made sir! .... OP says I'm hating, which he can call it what he wants but in the words of the late Ms. Cleo "THE CARDS DON'T LIE!" But at the end of the day, as long as you are happy with your car, funk what every once else says.

I vote that the mods modify the thread title to include "E85" and the highest trap speed this car has achieved.

I have a time slip at home of me racing another 1ner with a jb4 and same mods but dp's as well. I just want to clarify that when I say launch I mean a brake boosted launch because I have a steptronic. Both the 135i and 335i I went against were 6 speeds (Both have 275's in the rear) launching at 4-5K RPM and ran slower trap times (about .5 seconds or slower) but trapped 113. The 1ner is on jb4's most agressive map and the 335i is on cobbs stage 1+FMIC aggressive map. I've talked to bren and he said it may be because the rpm im shifting (paddling) is too high and im already past the power band. Im getting the Alpina flash in the next coming weeks and some Mickey t's on my stockers and I believe I will shave some serious time off and get a even better 60 ft. Lol im just happy to running better than dp'd bimmers and ISF'S

If they were launching at 4-5K rpm, that could easily explain why they had a lower trap time. |

They were not spinning off the line. They told me they had no traction issues at all. And yes traction control was off on those cars. I pushed my traction control to the half off mod. Did not hold her down for full traction off

Beating my ET (12.1 for me) shouldn't be a problem whatsoever granted if he can hook up and improve his 60ft (2.198 for me). But if you really think he is going to magically pick up another 6-10mph and beat my trap speed (118-119mph) by running full E85, you guys are in for a rude awakening. The ET will change depending on the 60ft, and I think its a good ET for the set of mods he has, but let me tell you, the mph at the end of the 1/4 mile is not going to change that much and that is what ultimately tells you how much power the car is making. A 400whp car should be running a LOT faster than 107-111mph in our 1ers. |

Admittedly, I've never been to the track (ours closed about a month after I got my car) as a driver, so maybe there is some other explanation. If so, I'd love to know what it is. |
