So to anyone that needs to replace theirs, get the one off Rockauto and save thirty bucks.
About two years ago, I had to replace my third brake light after the Grey Lady spent nearly a week in the hot sun in an airport parking lot. I bought my light and screws from FCPEuro.

The big surprise was that the part numbers (old vs new) matched exactly except the new light had a vertical fin on the street facing side but my trunk lid did not have a notch to match it. WTF? I communicated with FCPEuro and watched videos and wound up filing the fin off which made the light fit.

I'm not an experienced wrench but this one was a challenge.

Okay I am pretty sure that I did exactly as you did. After doing the coding u did, I am left with these lights on. I really need help fixing this.

When the headlight switch is manually set to lights on and parking lights the middle light in the tail light is on. When the headlight switch is set to off and auto the outermost light is on.

Please let me know where I should go from here

Actually drove it to work today! Been a few weeks, man whatta way to start a Friday!

In the process, reached a decision to go ahead and list the car for sale. It's just wrong to keep it sitting like I have for the past year, this beasty needs a home where it can be used and enjoyed like I have for almost 10 years now...

wonder how soon I can get it in for a good detailing....

I don't know what to say. I didn't leave anything out. I'd double check the programming.

Audio quality is not there like others because of a base iPhone, the sound is much deeper and a louder growl on start up!

Hello everybody!

I need a little help, I don’t know where else can I get better informations😅

I do have an E87 without idrive screen/system.

Yesterday I bought an Aftermarket head unit (Junsun) from aliexpress.

I managed to put it together, everything went well now I do have sound, carplay waze etc.

The Issue is this head unit not turning off, after I turn off the car and lock it.

What can be the solution? Thank you for your help!

I haven't installed a new stereo in a long time, but in the past at least they had 2 power sources:

1) "Constant" (main) power to run the unit
2) "Switched" power to tell it when to turn on and off

I would see if the switched power is always on. You will need a multimeter.

Did you use plugs only or did you have to cut and solder wires?

I know this thread is the most popular/used thread on 1addicts, but > seems like people are using it as the main thread to ask tech questions or other types of inquiries. Maybe - think about what you're doing/asking beforehand, and look at the other categories before creating a new post. The post above should be in stereo upgrades, not here. Replaced headlight washer cap it was not as easy as I thought it would be. I used zip ties to hoop around the ears then grabbed the sprayer with gloves on if anyone has to do this.

Totally agree, this thread is for boasting, not asking, and I also think it should move back to that focus. Let the questions populate in the areas they belong improving traffic & activity in those areas

Wow yeah I heard those plastic charge stock pipes tend to crack. People have been changing them with aluminum ones. You should check into that. I also have original cherge pipe and planning to replace mine soon.
