MHD 8.1 maps
Has anyone tried these yet? Just got released today/yesterday (timezone dependent) sand I'm wondering if there is any benefit in flashing V8.1 stage 1 over v7 stage 1.

But you don't know that I have tweaked quite a bit between the button on and off - just for long highway trips that make up ~30% of my miles. I use the sport button as a "highway mode" with a pretty aggressive throttle map that makes passing etc super convenient. So that's why I wanted some more info on how MHD implemented the new maps.

In normal (non sport) mode the throttle seems more linear (linear throttle mappings is off). I'm not sure how the sport mode was impacted as it's generally faster anyway. The dyno graphs I've seen seen to support my experience. Everything is toned down a bit before 3000rpm. I think I like the 8.1 maps more as I'm not always hiring the traction control limits anymore because it's tamer. If I want responsiveness then I'll flick over to manual mode with DSC off. |
